"You seem to be after everything that belongs to me," Rose suddenly blurted out.
She spoke with so much confidence as though I had not just disgraced her before the media. Perhaps she thought proving I was a thief was going to destroy my reputation and make everyone forget what she had done earlier.
Turning away from Rose and the phone cameras, I faced the obnoxious man and warned, "Be careful with me. Slander is a crime that is punishable by law."
