CHAPTER 10

Teddy moved Anne away from his arms as she prevented him from going after Charlotte.

"Anne, you have to try and understand. If I allow Charlotte to go, especially now that she perceives Jack as her mate, it would put me at greater risk and enable Jack to take the pack away from me, which I cannot allow to happen." Teddy's eyes darkened as he said that, and Anne burst into tears in his arms.

"No, Teddy. I cannot withstand the pain. Please," Anne begged, and Teddy remained silent for a while until one of the guards rushed in.

"Alpha! Sorry to disturb you this night, but Luna Charlotte has left the residence, and our men couldn't seem to find her. Also, there are reports of some suspected rogues captured at the pack's border," the guard relayed, and Teddy felt all the hair on his body stand up in fear.

"Go now! Find her and ensure that you bring her back. Failure to do that, you all shall be punished!" Teddy ordered, and the guard replied, "Understood, Alpha."

The head guard in black immediately excused Teddy and Anne. Teddy cursed, "Damn it! Just look at what you have caused, Anne. Just let me be for now. You can go back to the guest room. I actually thought you had gone back home," Teddy pinched the space between his brows, running his right palm across his face in frustration. He knew the consequences if Charlotte mated with Jack. That's a very big problem on his side.

Anne, on the other hand, didn't want to leave Teddy. She believed she could comfort him, but as she tried to approach Teddy to calm him down, he barked at her, "Just let me be for now, Anne!"

Tearfully, Anne moved away from Teddy and returned to the guest room she had chosen in the opulent residence. She plotted to deal with Charlotte and was glad when Teddy had finally brought her into his home.

"For four years, I watched that b***h answer as the Luna of the pack. Just wait a little and see who is the rightful Luna," Anne smiled as she spoke to her reflection in the mirror.

She was light-skinned and gave herself the final assurance that she was Teddy's choice. The Alpha's choice.

Meanwhile, Teddy stepped out of the mansion and summoned his head guard, "Lawrence!"

"Yes, Alpha!" With speed, Lawrence appeared before Teddy, who had stepped out enraged.

"Has Charlotte been found yet?" Teddy demanded. It wasn't even an hour since he dismissed Lawrence, and now he summoned him back.

"Not yet, Alpha. Our men are searching for any track of her in the woods, but they think she went farther into the forest path," Lawrence informed Teddy.

"Hmm, I cannot allow Charlotte to be with Jack. What do I do?" Teddy thought, remembering that Charlotte had spoken to him about divorce.

"Go and look for her. Did you search her parents' home?" Teddy inquired, his gaze locked on Lawrence. It was late at night, yet Teddy was still actively looking for Charlotte.

"Not yet. We were following her scent, which only led us down to the forest," Lawrence informed, and Teddy sighed. "That's fine. Keep an eye on the border. I'm not sure she would leave this pack. If she isn't found tonight, then tomorrow we will find out where she might have gone," Teddy said. A part of him wanted to go out in search of Charlotte, but he was drunk. Left with no other option, Teddy went back into the house, and Anne was back to pressure him.

"Has Luna Charlotte been found yet?" Anne asked. She had changed her crimson gown into a more seductive, transparent white nightgown. She wanted Teddy to mate with her first and get her pregnant to bear his pups. At this point, there was nothing else that Anne wanted other than bearing children for Teddy Hudson.

"Anne, now is not the time for this. Charlotte hasn't been found, and I want to go in and rest," Teddy quickly avoided Anne's touch as he rushed upstairs, and Anne ended up biting her lower lip as she returned to her guest room.

Anne was supposed to be happy that Teddy had finally gotten rid of Charlotte, but she was worried as Teddy had never rejected her advances before.

"I hope he's not going to cheat on me," Anne muttered lowly as she was exhausted. Once more, she went into her guest room bed to sleep.

At Jack's cottage house, Jack and Charlotte finally separated from kissing each other. They gazed into each other's eyes lovingly. Jack touched Charlotte's chin and smiled.

"I really cannot hesitate to r****h you. I promise we won't regret this," he said.

Charlotte smiled, wanting to believe Jack, but she had been Teddy's Luna for four years. She knew how ruthless Teddy was, and she was afraid of the possible outcome.

With the lantern burning in the parlor, casting a faint glow on them, Jack stood up from the couch where he sat beside Charlotte. His towel wrapped firmly around his waist, and he told her, "Come, let me show you to the room. You should get a bath for rolling over the soil."

Blushing, Charlotte replied, "Okay." She couldn't believe how many times she had kissed Jack in one night. She wanted to be bare on the bed with him and scream in ecstasy, but she had to tame her wolf.

How could she be drooling over her husband's elder brother like this? Charlotte remembered before when she knew Jack. He wasn't the type of guy who lusted after women. He was reserved, and not many she-wolves admired him.

During any pack function in the Norfield pack, Jack was rarely around to participate in the yearly or weekly activities they held. Instead, most of the upcoming teen wolves got to see Teddy, and they grew up admiring Teddy over Jack.

Nervously, Charlotte followed Jack into the room. The cottage house was a simple styled house, not a story building, and so Jack pushed the bathroom door open and showed Charlotte the bathroom.

Charlotte hadn't arrived at Jack's home with anything. She smiled at him and went into the bathroom to bathe. A few minutes later, Charlotte was out of the bathroom, wrapped in a white towel around her chest.

The bathroom was filled with Jack's scent, making her aroused, and she wanted Jack to quench the fire burning in her as she wanted him badly. To experience the touch of a mating bond.

"Jack," Charlotte called out Jack's name in a soft tone, sounding alluring. Jack had finished dressing up, wearing black shorts and a white singlet top. He was preparing to sleep. However, he was arranging the room to look neater for Charlotte.

Turning to face Charlotte, Jack inquired, "What should I help you with? I have prepared the room to look neat. You know that I just returned home." Running a hand across his black wavy hair, Jack smiled at Charlotte as she was just wrapped in only a white towel around her chest.

How could he resist such sinful temptation in front of him? Jack smiled as Charlotte approached him. She was considering Teddy's reaction, but now she didn't care anymore.

Approaching Jack, Charlotte whispered in a sinful, alluring voice, "I want you, Jack."

Jack's green eyes flashed with desire. "Are you sure?" he inquired. He could also smell Charlotte's arousal as she finally approached him. Jack was equally aroused, and he wanted Charlotte as much as she wanted him. Being left in the same proximity, coupled with the fact that they were mates, Jack couldn't think of anything else aside from burying himself deep within Charlotte.

"I want you, Jack!" Charlotte whispered once more as she clutched Jack's body. "I don't care about Teddy, and I will divorce him, please."

Jack didn't hate his brother. He loved Teddy and wanted Teddy to be happy. However, Jack loved his mate too, and obeying Charlotte's command, as she stripped off her white towel in his presence, revealing her smooth, seductive ebony body, his last string of self-restraint broke.

Jack finally pulled Charlotte close and crashed his lips on hers. He lifted her up on his chest and carried her carefully to the bed covered in a white mattress in the room.

Jack placed Charlotte gently on the bed, stood up, and stripped off his white singlet. He leaned forward and resumed kissing her on her lips. He then stripped off his remaining shorts and joined her on the bed.
