“I asked you to wait in the room, what do you think, you doing here?” Her eyes expanded in panic, but she quickly hid it. She took a deep breath and opened her mouth to speak but before anything could leave her lips, Asher’s voice tore through the echoes of my voice.
“She is doing what she knows how to do best,” he said, and my eyes darted back to him. “She is a hybrid, Axel. Her purpose here is to destroy us and she has managed to do just that.” His hands went to his hair and confusion slowly skipped into my head.
“Asher, what are you talking about?”
He let out a chuckle and shook his head. “You won’t understand but I hope it’s not too late by the time you decide we end her,” he said before walking away.
