My eyes were no longer on Scarlett but on Ares. I could clearly remember what he told me. He mentioned that my aunt requested some time to put her things together.
It would have been easy to put off her words as lies and fake just like she has always been but there was something about the way Ares’ eyes shone that caused cold air to seep into my heart in dangerous quantity.
