As the vehicles eased through the gates, I felt it. Something was wrong.
“Park,” I growled.
It was already very late in the night but for some reason, I could pick out vanilla scent around the area like Phoenix has been there.
I c****d my head to the side and wondered if it was just my brain coming up with thoughts again but that was when I saw her. Ruby.
She was pacing the main entrance to the palace like someone whose tail was on fire. Naturally, I wanted to jump down to where she was and get all the necessary answers, but I relaxed into my seat.
“Move,” I ordered the driver.
We were already here, there was no point in losing my temper which I could feel I was going to, but I swallowed it. Asher had already strained me and the last thing I needed was for Ares to do the same
