“Nothing much. She just wanted to know if she could stay.” He cooked up the easiest lie. Technically speaking, it wasn’t a lie but more of a half truth. He had decided not to tell Ava about Elsie’s true reasons for visiting. “She’s so stupid.” Ava shook her head and a sigh left Sebastian’s lips. He was thankful that she bought the lie easily. The next morning, Ava made sure that she woke up early enough to join breakfast. She also wanted to see if Elsie would return to the pack house or, join the maids.
