Chapter 34: Couples Retreat Part 1

So much has happened since learning the truth about my daughter with Diana, she was happily mated and her mate was the Gamma of Rogueland. Cole adopted my daughter, she doesn't know me and I haven't told Kaitlyn, I haven't confronted Diana about it because I was afraid of how my wife would react. King Geoff officially took over Rogueland once Esmerelda was killed and sent her here for her sentence, she will be reincarnated once her sentence is fulfilled but her former mate, Roman, will be here a lot longer, maybe even for an eternity. Rogueland has prospered and some of my demons moved there, we have a treaty with them so it doesn't matter, Athena was safe from my enemies so it was a good thing. I have been working with Allanmire who was helping look for Harper, also, he was still seeing my sister on and off, fighting most of the time because they cannot seem to admit their feelings for each other.
Kaitlyn had planned a retreat for us couples to relax, my men needed a break and my father will step in for the week to ensure everything goes smoothly while we are camping in Ravena. Aidan has been notified and so has Emile since we will be in Elvira, Emile was a nice guy once you get to know him and he turned out to be a good ally and friend. I always kept tabs on Ravena through Marion and Dru, but we still had our secret link and they talk so much s**t forgetting I am in there. Sometimes I think they do it on purpose because they know it pisses me off when I am left out of all the fun. I wasn't there when Esmerelda was killed, or saw Geoff realize he was bisexual, that one was funny, I missed out on Ty killing Vivianne and unfortunately, she is not here because of the spell that left her in limbo for eternity.
I attended Issy's funeral out of respect for Aidan, losing a daughter was hard, Toffe took it even harder, and his relationship with his kids was strained. T.J. became the Alpha of the club after beating Snake who vanished without a trace after his defeat, all his men bent a knee to T.J. knowing he was a Supreme offspring. His best friends, Boone, and my son became Beta and Gamma respectively, and Connor's former girlfriend, Jazzy, became Delta after proving she was best for the job. Connor is still with Cori and from what I understand, drove him crazy but he loves them crazy. I was sitting in the bar talking to Drax about some things he wanted someone to look into, his mate, Ryker, had a son with a siren who is now King of his clan in Oceania, he was the rightful heir to Kenrick's throne but refused it.
They were looking for Tibbs's uncle who was on the run for killing his father and running off with Kenrick's former mate and Queen, Moira. I had my men on the lookout in case they crossed over to hide out here but I wasn't sure that was the case, I reached home to see that everyone was packed, and we loaded into our cars and headed out to Elvira taking a long road trip. Devon was traveling with his girlfriend, his brother, Haru, and his mate in one car, Balthazar was with his mate driving in front of us and Sol was with Personia in our jeep. Dawn was in Dragonmare with Allan, and Marlon had already gone ahead with Jennifer last night to ensure everything was set up for when we reached Elvira. Kuron was back home with my father to help out, I trusted my family and close friends so this would be a well-deserved retreat. I missed my kids when I crossed over to Ravena, but my mother will guard them with her life.
The drive was calming enjoying the scenery when my wife needed to go to the bathroom so we pulled into a convenience store and got a few snacks. The guys filled the cars up with gas and looked at the mountainside in the distance, we were close to Elvira and it was a beautiful sight. Devon walked over to me and said, "There are Rogues in the distance watching us," I smiled and said, "As long as they stay in the distance, we are fine," he went into the store to check on the ladies. Haru was lighting a cigarette when Rave took it out his mouth and kissed him, he dropped it on the ground because his mate wanted him to quit, they were so in love and it was sickening to see but in a good way, they were happy. I heard giggles behind me and turned to see the girls sharing a joke, and Lylac on Devon's back as they laughed about their secret joke.
These were my friends and family, and watching them like this makes everything I do, worth it in the end, we stood by the cars when Sol said, "Let's go," pulling his wife inside. We heard howls in the distance and saw rogues come out of the bushes, Kaitlyn said, "Let's go, Samy," we got inside the cars and everyone followed suit. Something felt off and I linked the others, "Haru said, "I feel it, we can't leave, they had others up ahead so let's find out what they want." Devon went ahead and called them out and their leader approached us, he wanted some food which we had no problem paying for until he approached Lylac wanting her to go with him and that pissed Devon off. I said, "Women here are off limits, they are mated," he said, "Not this one, touching her hair, Devon broke his arm and hell broke loose.
Devon killed two of the Rogues and made the leader kneel, I didn't even have to lift a finger as Haru slowly walked over with his gun whistling because he loved the chaos. Sol kissed his wife and Kaitlyn held my hand looking on, Lylac was no pushover as she punched one of the men and I laughed. I told Devon, "Do as you wished," because he was defending his lady's honor, he knelt to his level and said, "I will spare you but next time you approach my girlfriend like that, it won't end well for you." He spits in Devon's face and Haru shoots both legs and says, "Let's go," leaving him there to bleed out on the ground as his men tend to him. Devon washed his face with the water from the convenience store and we got in our cars leaving the chaos behind, I knew he spared him because this was Aidan's territory and we were passing through.

I was shot in both legs and my men pulled the bullets out so I could heal, I wasn't finished with that incel, they think they are so slick. We headed back to our hideout not far from, Lubartown, near the Elvin border, I sent men to find out anything about these men because I wanted the girl. She would be good to add to my clan to bear our pups, I wouldn't touch the mated, of course, because their mates will find them. I lost two of my men and I wanted revenge, I sent my tracker to help my other men locate where they were heading, and staying, my designated warlock looked at me and said, "They seem to be more than just the average demons in Ravena, but if we get one to breed with, she will increase our power." I smiled and knew what I had to do, I said, "I want the one that broke my arm future mate, so locate her and if it's his girlfriend, then bring her to me."
Winter looked at me and said, "This will not be an easy task but I have my contacts," he left the room, we may not be a huge clan but we are growing and keeping under the radar of the Supremes. Later, I walked over to where my breeders were being kept and sent one to be with my Gamma, he was ready for his pup to be born. Larry walked in with a book about demons and said, "We need to learn about them before taking one of their mates and although I didn't care, he was right, we needed to know what we are dealing with before I take one of their own for breeding. There weren't any pictures of the Demon King, only stories, no one has ever met him or knows about his family, it's safe to say, he doesn't roam here. Only low-level demons stay in Ravena and those we encountered earlier are just some punks passing through, if not, we would have felt as if they were royalty or hierarchy. I will make them pay for the men we lost and get the woman I so desired, the more power we have, the better.
