Nathan’s POV
It’s been forty-five minutes past ten and there's no sign of her arrival. I had been waiting in the marriage registrar's office for fifteen minutes now...what does she think she if. She is marring me for money (otherwise why would she agree to be with me) still doesn't give a dam to this marriage. She is a complete b***h.
Finally, I heard footsteps approach me and saw her wearing a black jumpsuit with her black heels. All of it seemed really expensive especially her matching handbag. I wondered how could she afford all of it. wait. Is the bill for all these things on me.
My thoughts we cut off when she neared me and asked the registrar to start the official procedures. After we were done with all the formality we headed to our car. So, there we were finally married. It hardly seemed different than a normal day. She sat beside me texting someone. girls get me really frustrated...I was the one responsible to break the silence.
"Actually, I want you to accompany me to my family gathering this afternoon, my parents are really excited to meet you," I said.
"Fine, but I need to go to my house and change, this dress is not appropriate for the gathering I suppose, "she said.
How did she agree to my demand? I was ready to debate about it in order to convince her. Strange girl. At some point, she is as solid as rock to convince whereas she easily gives up sometimes.
"No. They are perfect for the gathering and I am sure you don't intend to impress my parents. " I asked.
"Yeah, I don't intend to impress your parents but neither do I want them to hate me. I have enough people in my life who hate me. "the last part came in a whisper but I could still catch them easily. She seemed really depressed today. Should I comfort her? No ways...she is just a gold-digging b***h.
Ignoring her words, I asked the driver to turn towards my parent's house. After an hour of complete silence, we finally reached my parents' mansion. I had expected her to be excited on seeing the mansion but for her, it seemed that seeing a mansion was something so common for her. Why the hell do I expect so much...
The driver rolled in and the grand gates opened and soon we were in their living room.
Kristina's POV
It seemed like a very huge mansion with antique things occupying most of the space. The fragrance of rose petals captured the room. I was happy that I was about to meet Nathan's parents, not because I was meeting my husband's parents but because I could at least see how much parents love their children. I never had a chance to experience such a feeling before.
In my family of six, I could hardly capture any attention of my parents. At least that’s what I thought but things slowly began to change when I had been forced to get married to Justin. He was my father's friend's son. Spoilt brat of a rich father. All end broke loose when he tried to r**e me. I requested my father to call off the wedding preparations but he was reluctant to do so. that was the day I realized that no one in my family cared about my well-being. I was a burden to them. The very next month I ran away and with the little savings, I had to do a part-time job and went to study fashion designing. After I built up my business empire, I thought that I would no more be a burden to them and they would be really happy to be but I was so wrong. They still didn't want me anymore. I called them today to tell them about my marriage but they hung up.
My trail of thoughts was cut off when I saw an old man standing in front of me. He looked quite handsome for his age. He offered me his hand. I quickly took it and shook it. He had blond hair and green eyes. One could easily make out that he was Nathan's father. Both of them were carbon copies of each other. As I entered the parlor, I could find a whole lot of new faces. All of them had a loving look except the girl sitting at the corner of the room. She had been wearing a deep neck one piece that covered hardly any of her goods. Her look was full of hatred. I wondered what had I done so wrong to her.
