Third person's POV:
"You can't do this to me Christian," Katherine pleaded to the her boyfriend, rather ex boyfriend known as Christian, as no matter her pleads, Christian neither turned an eye to her nor spoke, as he only concentrated on the laptop in front of him. "Is that how this is going to be, you get what you want and you're..."
"Do not envisage of completing your statement Katherine. "Do not dare, for if I was cruel as you were, I would have my security drag you out of my office." Christian raised his head as he spoke, as anyone could see the disappointment and hurt in his eyes. One which Katherine and other women had caused him. "They're are many things I could do to you to make you regret your actions, yet, I only chose ending our relationship and you utter that I used you?" Christian chuckled unbelievably, while he closed the Mac laptop which stayed on his table. "How about, you used me. You knew who I was, played your cards right and I fell into it." Christian told Katherine, as all while she attempted to play the innocent card, Christian knew better than to fall for it again.
"Tell me Katherine what more did you need that I couldn't provide for you. Was it the expensive gifts, frequent vacation whenever you said it, what else?" Christian asked the woman in front of him, as he stared back at her hazel eyes in perplexity of what went wrong. Katherine was a woman you would classify as being smart. A woman that knew what she wanted and took it. A woman whom wasn't easily caught even while she cheated, whereas her beauty alone charmed the toughest of men, yet, with Christian, it seems she let her guard down.
"Your time Christian. You didn't give me your time." Of course she lied. Indeed, Christian was always a busy man and had little time for his personal affairs as he ran his multiple successful companies, yet, a woman like Katherine wasn't there for his time, rather his money. "Always here and there. Today Mexico, tomorrow Japan and the next another. Two years Christian and I could count how many times we went out." It could be said that Christian was indeed at fault to some extent, yet, Katherine didn't mind his fault, as she only used it as a weapon of defense on her part.
"And that gave you the f*****g right to cheat on me. To sleep with not one but other men?" Christian inquired angrily as he stood up from his seat, while he couldn't believe the words that spat out of Katherine's mouth. "How shameless are you?" Christian asked her, whereas Katherine's gaze went wide.
"Don't you..."
"No you, don't you dare!" Christian cut Katherine off her words, whereas anguish filled him. "I do not wish to hear more about your flimsy excuse, but for you to get out of my office and never contact me again." Christian spoke authoritatively. "I wished for our relationship to have ended quietly, while I remained silent even at your fault, but you proved otherwise. So Katherine, kindly take your leave now." Christian voice mellowed as he spoke his last statements, while he stared vividly at the woman he once cherished.
"You can have it your way Christian. Just remember that even if I am at fault, you did lay the foundation for me." Katherine made her last statement, as with that she took her leave from Christian's office. Christian ran a hand through his black hair, for if he said he wasn't pained at Katherine's words, he lied, for he knew deep down, her words were right and he did lay the foundation by having been a workaholic.
Unable to concentrate on his work anymore, Christian picked his grey jacket, as he went out of the big building named ATCOM Technologies. One which he owned. Christian King, a bachelor in his early thirties. Someone who owned companies in various part of the world, as his bank accounts screamed of millions and his net worth of the same. His name was known but his identity was not, as he preferred to keep it that way in order not to drag attention to himself, whereas anyone who saw him, merely taught of him as just a rich kid. And even still, he failed in his quest, as the fact that he was wealthy made women to only see him for that. Hence, he had uncountable experiences with the other gender.
Upon minutes of Christian driving in his Tesla, he came to a stop at a secluded but beautiful cafe he had come to know about. One which the view was nice, at the same time secluded, whereas persons from outside could not get a glance in, but only from the inside. It was the best place for Christian to cool his head, as he went and ordered his favorite coffee. An iced americano with no sugar. As Christian sips his Americano, so did he sight a woman whose locks disturbed her eyes even from the bun she had them underneath her face cap, as what brought his attention to her was the fact that, when ever he saw her working at the cafe, there was always a smile on her face, and from the music that played in the cafe, she alway moved her body openly to it while she interacted with her customers. It wasn't the first time, Christian would notice such woman, as her jovial behavior was one which got him to acknowledged her presence, yet, it wasn't in his intention to make his observations known.
He stood up from the couch which he drank his coffee in, as it was in Christian's plan to order another as takeout, which took him back to counter. "Good day sir, I'm Lydia. What would you like to have?" The woman, whom happened to be Lydia spoke, whereas upon getting a closer look at Lydia, Christian thought she looked familiar.
"Hi. I would like an iced Americanos with no sugar, but before that, do I know you somewhere?" Christian inquired, whereas his brows furrowed at Lydia.
"I'm not certain sir. Moreso, this will be my last day here, so I do not believe we have indeed met." Lydia answered Christian, all while with a smile on her lips. It was true that Lydia would no longer be working at the cafe, as her other job seemed to have taken care of her bills.
"Oh I see. Well then, I will have the Americano now." Christian responded, whereas he smiled back at Lydia. And as Christian took his coffee from Lydia's hands, so did it kept ringing on in his head, that he knew her from somewhere, yet, he couldn't remember.
