Third person’s POV.
“Definitely not,” Jazmine disapproved instantly.
“Come on Jaz,” Lydia whom is with her, tilted her head while she pleaded with her friend.
“We had a plan Lydia, which was going to the club together today,” Jazmine stated her reasons for declining, as she now faced her best friend vividly.
“And we still can. It is just a game and once it is over, I will be back and we can go.” Lydia tried to persuade her friend, whereas she walked away from the counter of their kitchen to meet Jazmine in their living room. Jasmine remained silent, whereas she only stared back at Lydia. In Jasmine’s mind, she wasn’t against her friend going on a date with Liam Stanford as it was a dream come true for Lydia, however, it only bothered Lydia that she also wanted to spend some quality time with her as they haven’t had fun together in quite a while and going to the club was a great idea to Lydia.
“Fine, I can’t t say no, after all, it is what we have wanted in a long while.” Jazmine said and Lydia’s lips curved into a smile.
“This is why I love you so muchhhh,” Lydia pushed herself on top Jazmine, hugging her while the both chuckled at her reaction.
“Okay you’re beginning to choke me Lydia,” Jazmine said with a chuckle before Lydia pulled herself away from her. “So, what are you wearing?” Jazmine asked her friend. “Don’t answer, I’m certain you haven’t picked one, come on let’s get you ready.” Jazmine added, while she got up from the couch and they headed to Lydia’s room.
“I was thinking a dress, is it too much?” Lydia asked Jazmine, with her brows scrunched.
“It’s a game date My friend, why do you wanna wear a dress?” Jasmine said, while a chuckle escaped her lips.
“I don’t know Jaz, I think I’m nervous,” Lydia eventually admitted her feelings while she sighed out, whereas Jazmine only watched her. “I…I don’t know, I guess.” Lydia added.
“You really do like him don’t you?” Jazmine asked Lydia with a light smirk.
“I don’t know Lydia. Yes I guess I have had a crush on him for a very long time, yet, I can not stop the feeling of doubting if he would feel the same and if this may just be a casual date and nothing else.” Lydia spoke her truth, as it was evident through her eyes that she did fancy Liam a lot and not just that, but also craved for him.
“Why do you have such little confidence in yourself Lee. This is not the Lydia I know. What is it exactly?” Jazmine asked her, while Lydia went silent for a while.
“Okay fine. I had a s*x dream with him,” Lydia revealed and instantly, Jazmine bursted out in laughters.
“Oh s**t!” Jazmine laughs continued. “Tell me, how was it?” She asked, while her ears stayed perked at Lydia.
“It was f*****g intense Jaz, I woke up sweating and the bad part is, the first person I saw in that state was Scott. Could you see how embarrassing that was,” Lydia said, and as though Jazmine was infected with a laughing gas, her voice ran deep while she began to hold her stomach at the ridiculousness of Lydia’s words. “But God, I swear I can still feel the pleasure of his fingers in me,” Lydia added.
“You my friend…” Jazmine chuckles cut her words herself. “You need to get f****d. Girl, your body is telling you it needs a man or rather a dildo,” Jazmine said, whereas Lydia now chuckled.
“You know I’m not a fan of m**********g. I like it real,” Lydia confessed.
“Then do it then, if you crave for him that bad, get things heated with him and make him feel the same way you feel. Make him like you and want you too. It’s evident he’s also interested in you.” Jazmine said, while Lydia exhaled.
“I guess,” is all Lydia said, as the thought of Liam not wanting a relationship with her but just a casual relationship, caused fear in her for unknown reasons. She didn’t just want to be someone who only sleeps with Liam for her desires, when he may not see her as the person she is, yet she doesn’t mention it to Jazmine, but only smiled and the two carried on what Lydia was going to wear.
————————-
Lydia found herself cheering for a team which she had only gotten to know in the past hour, while she and Liam watched a soccer game, in the outfit Jasmine picked for her of a modest ripped blue Jean, a white crop top and a flannel. Even though, Lydia wasn’t a fan of Soccer, it was something she didn’t tell Liam as it was only their first outing, yet, she couldn’t deny the fact that she might have actually enjoyed the game. Was it because Liam was by her side the entire time and interacted with her while watching? Or was it because she was finally beginning to understand how soccer worked in full. And yet, it could be both, but one thing was certain and it was that, Lydia found herself cheering every minute for her favorite team of Blue sharks, when they scored a goal.
“I think you’re even more exited that the players themselves,” Liam spoke, as her reactions didn’t go unnoticed, one which he liked for it kept their company interesting.
“You think so?” Lydia mellowed down, as to her she didn’t seem to notice her excitement, up until the time Liam mentioned it.
“No, no, no, I mean it’s good.” Liam immediately corrected. “It is interesting to watch you this way. I do like it actually,” Liam confessed whereas his gaze stayed on Lydia and hers on him. Lydia’s cheeks began to heat, as she felt the concentrated stare of Liam on her, and she couldn’t hide her feelings no more and blushed evidently.
“You’re certain you don’t find it weird. It is our first…Um…” Lydia found her words unable to classify, if her outing with Liam was a mere one or a date.
“Date?” Liam said, and Lydia smiled at his choice of words.
“Yes date.” Lydia feigned composure.
“I find it pleasurable Lydia and I wouldn’t have found a better way to spend my evening.” Liam spoke. Lydia’s gaze remained on Liam, while her heart raced faster at his words to her. Indeed, Liam spoke the truth, as he did enjoy Lydia’s company, for Lydia was a woman he was beginning to develop interest in, ever since he saw her at their acting class, taking a performance for a play. Her expression and demeanor while acting took him away, as he wondered how he never got to know of a girl like Lydia being in his class. She was a natural at the same time, proficient and ever since, he had spotted Lydia the moment he saw her.
Liam gaze moved away from Lydia, when his phone vibrated in his pockets and he took it out. The smile that laid on lips erased, while he stared at the caller ID to be written as ‘Baby girl’. With one last look at the caller, Liam closed his IPhone 13 shut, while he resumed to face Lydia. Of course, Liam’s actions do not go unnoticed to Lydia, however, she turned a blind eye to it. It was their first date together, it was improper for her to tail him. Or so she thought.
The soccer game ended with Lydia’s team winning and she smiled like a child having given a toy to, before the two took their leave, whereas, time was already far spent and Lydia had another appointment with Jasmine. “I had a pleasant time today Lydia,” Liam told Lydia, as they walked.
“I had a pleasant time too,” Lydia responded with a smile on her lips.
“If you don’t mind, I would like to do this again and also get to know you better,” Liam came to a stop as he now faced Lydia.
“Sure Liam.” Lydia answered gracefully. “Thank you for tonight, my apartment is here,” Lydia added, for due to the enjoyable time she had with Liam, it was a shame to her that she almost passed her block.
“Oh…Alright then,” Liam said, while he stared at Lydia.
“Yeah.” Lydia nodded her head. The both with the same thought running through their minds, yet remained silent with the kind of gesture to which they should depart the night with, while they only stared at each other. Liam who is the man of course, took the bold step, and moved closer to Lydia, until he standing at just an inch away from her, while Lydia’s gaze watched him vividly, with not an inch nor a sound from her.
“Goodnight Lydia,” Liam said, as with that last word from him, he leaned in and placed a light kiss on her cheek.
