Before I could say anything else, three SUVs drove up and parked. They were followed by a little car. The doors to the first SUV opened and I saw Stanton and his cousin Randy get out. They almost looked angry.
“Where’s Talia?” Stanton asked as he approached.
“In the living room with Bellamy,” Val said.
Stanton blanched. “Bellamy?”
“Yes. She lived. Kingston lied to you. She’s in the house. Go ahead. We have to greet our other guests.”
Stanton rushed past us with his cousin hot on his heels. Lila got out of the little car. She was wearing a black dress which was sheer enough that I could tell she’d matched it with dark blue lingerie. With a smirk, she strutted past us.
“She’s trying to tempt Marius. I told her dark blue was his favorite color.” Val whispered.
