When I opened my eyes, I wasn’t on the couch in our quarters anymore. I was on a sofa in a living room that looked familiar, but I was certain I’d never been in before. A woman sat on a loveseat across from me. She had a warm smile. Her sandy blonde hair was pulled back into a bun and she was wearing a dress that looked like a long nightshirt belted with furs. She wore a shawl of heavy animal furs and boots that looked like tanned leather and fur sewn together with sinew. It was massively out of place in the semi-rustic living room. “Hello, Heather. My name is Syn, though you knew me in the dream realm as Cindy. I know you don’t remember me. The memories of your time there are being sorted and filtered. It will take longer than it did for the others. They only needed a spell removed. Y
