betrayal love

1312 Words
Soon after Ethen stepped out of his car in front of the tall Mansion, he caught a glimpse of Kate standing at the patio and looking at him. Slowly and steadily he climbed the stairs but the more he got close to her the more he got a glimpse of the past, playing one after another. A glimpse of the Past: “I will never leave you, Ethen,” blinking her sparkling brown eyes Kate had said, placing her head in his warm chest just the day before Ace introduced her as his girlfriend to him. “Why Kate?  Why?” Ethen yelled, punching the wall hard. Kate covered her face and said, “this is the reason why?” “What do you mean?” Ethen was not able to understand. “You are short-tempered which I don’t like about you,” she said, removing her hands from her face. “You could have said it to me, Kate, why to betray me?” falling on his knees helplessly Ethen said. “I don’t know I don't have any answer, Ethen. I really cannot be with you. I will choose Ace in place of you no matter what that is the truth,” she said in a solemn voice without even caring what Ethen might feel hearing her. He was not able to say anything, just watching her helplessly. “Please, I request you, if you have ever loved me truly then don’t let Ace know about us. Please, forget me and don’t appear in my life ever again,” Kate spoke out her final words before turning her back and walking away. Ethen was left all alone. He never dared to come in front of Ace and Kate so all this time he stayed away from their life. But continuous torture from Ace for not visiting them increased to an extreme for which he was compelled to visit them. “Hey!” he greeted approaching her. “Hey!” greeted Kate in a low voice not meeting his eyes.  Years had passed and Kate had changed a lot. Her fair skin which used to glow in the past was now all dull. Those brown eyes which used to sparkle had now stopped sparkling.  Ethen had no idea behind all those changes but one change that he saw in her was well defined for him. That was her smile. He clearly knew that he was not going to be greeted with her smile like in the past.  “Where… where is Ace?” questioned Ethen looking around. “He might be busy, I think he will be here soon. Come let’s go in,” replied Kate and turning around walked inside. Feeling awkward and furious towards Ace, Ethen followed Kate. He had thought that Ace would be around and would not have to face his old betrayal love but nothing went according to his plan. He had to face her even though he didn’t want to. He was regretting agreeing to Ace and visiting them. “Have a seat, I will send coffee for you,” Kate said and without waiting for Ethen’s response marched towards the kitchen. Ethen absently watched her back getting lost at the kitchen door and sat on the couch. He looked around and found out the house was well built and decorated in an Italian way. Glancing around he got vibes that Kate was having her best life. He was happy that despite her betrayal, she was still living a life dreamt by many women. He gulped hard and got lost in the thought of what would have happened if she was still with him. What would happen if she would choose him instead of Ace. “Sir, coffee…” the sudden voice of the maid flinched Ethen and pulled him out from his deep reveries. He nodded his head and searched for Kate. Not seeing her around, he questioned, “where is Kate?” “She is cooking for you in the kitchen,” replied the maid and walked back to the kitchen with a tray in her hand. “Cooking for you…” these words made his heart flutter and dance in joy. It sounded so romantic. “Kate cooking for me…” he mumbled and chuckled, but the sudden thought of her being his best friend’s wife jolted him and warned him not to go in the direction where his heart was dragging him. Clearing his throat nervously, he picked up the cup and sipped it. He gulped hard and placed back the cup on the table. When he was almost done with the coffee, the maid approached him and said, “sir, the lunch has been served.” “Where is Ace? He has not arrived yet, right?” questioned Ethen. “No, sir, he hasn't. And I am afraid he will not be able to join you for lunch because he will be with his…” “With his clients…” Kate hastily interrupted the maid and completed the sentence. The maid felt strange as Kate never had lied to anyone about Ace and his mistress. But today she was hiding it. “Oh! I thought he would give me his time today as he himself called me here but…’ “Don’t worry, I am sure he will arrive in no time. Come have your lunch,” she said and walked towards the dining hall. Ethen with no other words followed Kate. As he took the seat, he fetched his cell phone and dialed Ace’s number. Placing the phone on the table, he turned on the speaker button. Waiting for the phone to be answered, he took the napkin and was tucking it on his neck. Soon after the call was answered Ethen inquired, "Ace, where are you? I am waiting for you… I …"  Suddenly a moan from a girl came from the other side of the phone. He couldn’t believe what he just heard.  So he questioned in astonishment, "Wait a second, are you in the middle of something?" "Yes, I am in the middle of my submissive eating her p***y," came an unexpected reply from Ace. Hastily looking at the kitchen door, he saw Kate hurriedly hiding behind the walls, blood boiled up in his veins and he yelled, "You f*****g Bastard…" and disconnected the call. His eyes were fixed on the door where Kate was hiding. She was not able to hide well as she was seeing her lifting her hands and wiping her tears. Having fret inside, he riped the napkin from his neck, stood on his feet, and walked away without any goodbye. After some time Kate peeped through the door and saw an empty hall. She walked out of the kitchen and from the window of the dining hall glanced at Ethen’s car which left the premises at great speed. She dropped on the chair with a heavy heart and cupped her head in her hand. Tears streamed down her eyes and fell on the table one after another. She didn’t make a single move until Ace appeared and patted her shoulder. “Where is Ethen?” he asked, sitting beside her. “He left,” she replied secretly, wiping her tears. “Hmmm he didn’t meet me,” he said in disappointment. “Yeah, he said something important came up. Lunch is ready, you have it. I will be upstairs," she said, fighting back her tears, and standing on her feet marched towards their bedroom, leaving Ace all alone. Thinking for a while Ace fetched his phone and dialed Alicia’s number.
