Emily was nervous to meet Zach. The entire morning instead of working on her presentation she was pacing around in her room knowing that and few hours she would be face to face with him.
It was decided that Leah due to being heavily pregnant wouldn't be accompanying them so her brothers decided to skip the christening ceremony as well. Her mother wouldn't stop talking about it since yesterday and it was driving her crazy and increasing the anticipation of meeting him.
A loud phone call interrupted her thoughts and she rushed to pick her phone. Emily smiled when she noticed that it was her best friend calling.
"Hello"
"Hey V" She cheerily replied.
"Hi...Are you busy right now? There is someone I would like you to meet."
"Uhh... I am sorry but I kind of am. We are supposed to go to that wolf christening I told you about. Remember?"
"Oh yeah right. Totally slipped my mind. Have fun I guess" Vale sounded upset and it didn't sit right with her. There were not many times that she rejected going out with friends because she love them to death and enjoyed spending time with them.
"Hey, I am sorry... Maybe next time." She softly said hoping that Vale would understand.
"Nah. It's fine. I'll see you later. Bye"
"Yeah.."
The line went dead. Emily narrowed eyes at the beep tone. Vale was never the one to hang up so abruptly. Something was definitely going on with her. She will have to talk to her later.

"Emily?" Her mother's voice echoed around and it hurt her sensitive ears. All these symptoms from the past few days made her think that she was nearing her heat.
She just hoped that it would not threaten during her presence in the pack house. That would go terribly wrong.
Emily looked at herself in the mirror not sure about the outfit she picked. She would have asked Leah's opinion but sadly her sister-in-law along with her brothers was visiting her uncle and was staying there overnight and she didn't want to disturb her.
Emily huffed and just brushed her hands against the soft material of her dress. It wasn't anything extravagant, just a line off-shoulder white lace dress, with a belt, cinched on her waist. The soft colour bought out her eyes and also complimented her skin tone perfectly. After looking at herself for a few seconds she just rolled her eyes and walked out of her room.
Her mother and her father were both waiting downstairs. She hesitantly walked towards them and cleared her throat to announce her presence.
"Oh my. Someone dressed to impress" Her mother was the first one to comment to which Emily just rolled her eyes but subconsciously she was scared of overdoing it.
"It's just a dress... That I may have never worn before."She weakly protested, it sounded futile to even her own ears.
"Don't let your mother get to you. You look gorgeous cara"
"Thanks, papa." She smiled

Emily wasn't much educated about the wolf christening as she didn't have any chance to attend one. Because of her being the youngest child and also being away most of the time for her studies she never witnesses one but she heard about it.
A gasp slipped her lips as soon as the pack house came into her notice. It was exactly the definition of the pack house unlike theirs. Obviously, because there's was a clan.
It looked proper like a festival, a Moon's festival with the way everything was decorated and loud. Surely no one was going to turn into a wolf at the moment.
"It looks so beautiful," Her mother remarked as soon the car halted. She couldn't believe that she would be staying here after being mated. It was such a dream come true because in her pup days she wanted to live in a castle and marry a prince.
"Its Lucas grandchild. You know how he is" Emmett, her father chuckled as they all got out of the car. She softly smiled at that remark knowing very well that her dad loves to give his best friend a hard time.
"Oh like you are any better than him. Do I need to remind you what you did during our daughter's christening?" Emma giggled as she slid closer to her mate and Emily just rolled her eyes. They were so in love that it was sick.
"It wasn't that bad" She heard her father's lame reply and she wanted to laugh at that because she heard from her grandparents how extravagant and loud it was.
"The guards mistook that stupid rock band for some rogue attacks on our family and lined up, surrounding us" Her mother snorted to which it was quiet and Emily knew her father already lost the argument.
Just then they entered the grand entrance when she spotted Zach along with some omega. The unfamiliar omega clinging on her mate made her blood boil at the sight and she wanted to rip her arm off. Emily suppressed those thoughts. It was definitely her heat talking.
"Emmett, you absolute fucker" A shrill voice made her groan and she looked ahead to see Lucas, her father's best friend running up to them. They noisily hugged each other and were laughing about something but her attention was trained on Zach. He did not yet look up.
"Emily?" A nudge to her elbow bought her back to reality and she felt all eyes on her. That's when she felt his eyes digging at her side profile as she looked at Lucas standing in front of her with a grin on his face.
"Are you fine hon?" Ariana, Zach's mother asked.
Emily nodded her head embarrassed, "Sorry. Yeah, I'm alright."
"Oh, Emma she looks so beautiful and so grown." Ariana gushed to Emily's mother which made her blush even more and look aside. She could feel that Zach was approaching them and it made her heart beat faster than normal.
"I can't take all the credit but I will" Emma laughed.
"Where are your sons? And your daughter in law? I have been meaning to meet them all." Lucas questioned.
"Leah is pregnant so she and the oldest twins at her uncle's place. And as for my youngest once they are in Brooklyn. Had some important surgeries." Emma replied in a sad tone and shrugged.
"Oh, that's alright. Maybe next time we can actually meet everyone. It's been so long" Ariana sighed which all agreed while Emily was trying not to breathe into his scent. He was standing right beside his father and she could clearly see him if she raised her head.
"Zach" Emmett's voice rang and she clenched her eyes shut. Bless her father for ruining it for her. She didn't want her family to acknowledge him because she was a bit immature like that.
"Oh. Who is standing at the entrance then?" Lucas asked glaring at his son to which she noticed that Zach rolled his eyes and pointed towards the entrance.
"That's... that's fine" Lucas huffed and then turned towards them, "You've already met my son."
Emma laughed and nodded her head, "Of course we have. He was such a sweetheart. Also please he is going to be our son in law soon"
"What?" Ariana exclaimed loudly why looking at both of them, her son and Emily. It made Emily cringe because she was sure that Zach must have not informed his parents of finding his mate.
Her father who was quiet for a while suddenly raised his eyebrows and crosses arms against his chest. It made her tense because she didn't want her father to cause a scene in the middle of the christening.
"Lukas I thought your son must have told you that our daughter is his mate" It was a controlled, calculated and cold which sent shivers down her spine because she was aware that her father was very disappointed with Zach.
"No... I had no idea." Lucas shook his head and then looked at his mate who looked clueless as he was and it stung Emily. She thought that he was ready to court her when he himself promised her that but he did not even tell his parents about finding his mate.
"Oh my god, this is so amazing. I can't believe we are finally going to be relatives." Ariana exclaimed looking at Emma who nodded her head and they hugged each other.
"Zach, why didn't you tell us?" Lucas asked in a disappointed tone and Emily chewed on her lips when she looked at Zach's posture. He was not ready to answer that and looked ready to be anywhere but there.
"Sorry, dad I had too much work to do... And I sort of forgot"
"We have much to talk about" Lucas glared at his son and then with a smile looked at them.
"Let's go inside. We can talk about this later." Everyone followed while she lingered behind and looked at Zach.
He was pissed.
