I am an overachiever.
It was natural for me to want to excel in the field that I am most comfortable with. Sure there would be tons of mistakes and errors right from the start. But that doesn't initially bring me down. It would only make me want to do my best.
Errors and mistakes are only natural from the start, however I make sure that after analyzing where things went wrong and then fixing them; I make sure not to make the same mistakes twice or thrice.
And if there are things that don't go along my way, I make sure that it does.

“What happened?”
We were about to leave the room and head to the cafeteria when Dianna asked. After my confrontation with Mrs. Evans, this is the only time that Dianna has spoken to me. Apparently everyone was too shocked about what had happened that it left the room speechless.
A newbie speaking up to her manager?
Something like that doesn’t happen everyday in our life.
Well, especially mine.
Would have things ended up differently if I just left the room and accepted her rejection? Of course it would but I’m not the same woman I am before when I was younger. I’m done letting other people tell me what to do. I’m standing up for myself and for what I believe is right.
“She rejected my submission.” I said to Dianna and her eyes widened in shock as if the news was new to her.
I stared at her with confusion at the back of my mind, I thought everyone heard the commotion inside the room since the wall is hollow and is not sound-proof so when people shout inside Mrs. Evans room, the sounds are partially heard outside. Well, since everyone didn’t bother talking after I exited our manager’s room; I had assumed that my colleagues heard everything.
It seemed like they didn’t. Maybe they heard the screaming but not the whole context of the conversation. And those screams are what rendered them speechless. Well, it had happened before wherein Mrs. Evans was so pissed that she took it out on all of her teammates even though we did nothing wrong to her. All of us didn’t even mutter any single word as we were afraid that she'd end up yelling at us again so every time we had questions for each other, we would just message each other.
It was such a hassle.
“I thought that managers can’t reject submissions of proposals? Only the higher-ups?” Dianna muttered beside me as we continued to exit the room as we were both done getting our things.
I nodded in her direction, “Yes, so she didn’t have the right to reject my proposal not unless the higher-ups are the one who’ll reject my proposal.
She bobbed her head up and down and I noticed that there was a lingering emotion plastered on her face. I couldn’t quite comprehend what it was but it feels as though she wanted to blurt something out but she was contemplating not to.
So instead, I was the one who initiated to ask her. “Is there something wrong? You seemed jiffy.”
She looked at me hesitantly, but I saw how she took in a deep breath probably to muster up her courage then spoke. “Why is it that your project proposal didn’t have your name in it?” Her voice was low and I almost didn’t hear it because there were a lot of people in the hallway that were also headed towards the cafeteria but I did catch up on some words and I managed to tie it together.
So she noticed.
On the title page of my project proposal, I didn’t bother putting my name on it. And if they scan all of the pages, even at the back; they wouldn’t see any traces of my name inside the project proposal.
“I planned on submitting it anonymously.” I told her and the shock was evident on her but was soon after replaced with a frown. “Why did you want to submit such a good project anonymously? If that was me, I’d be proud that that work is mine.” She added.
I shrugged, “I just think that if that proposal had my name in it, I would be easily judged or it would be easily disposed off since I’m the granddaughter of the CEO. I think they’d feel unfair if that happens, especially that I’m still a newbie here.” I admitted to her.
It was true. I was very adamant when I was submitting the proposal to Mrs. Evans because I knew for a fact that she’d care less if it doesn’t have my name on it. I think that she won't even bother opening a single page in that proposal. She's too mad at me to even do that.
So I guess she'll just straight up submit it to her superiors without even bothering from which employee it was from.
Dianna and I parted ways since I always spend my lunch with my sister. Although, before I could even turn left, someone had grabbed me by my arm then dragged me. I staggered a bit and lost my balance for a while but I managed to compose myself even with the heels that I was wearing.
Who the f**k is this?
