It's settled

*Adelina POV* It was hard to eat knowing what was going on with my sister's pack. Alette and Damian have dealt with one thing after another since he won the challenge for the alpha title from his dad. His dad was a horrible human and an even worse wolf. He was the leader of a s*x trafficking ring, and preyed on young college girls. Alette was one of those girls. I'm listening to the plan that is trying to come together, and all I can think about is how none of it will work. If these people don't get confirmation that they were in the pack house, they will think they are still alive. Their families packs will be the first places they look for them, putting all those people in danger. "Do all of you highly intelligent Alphas hear yourselves? You are definitely thinking along the right lines, but the locations will never work. Once they figure out that the two of them weren't in the house, they will start searching for them in all of our packs. I love you both more than anything, but I can't allow my pack to be put at risk either," I explained. I hated sounding like I didn't give a s**t about what happened to them, because I did. I just needed to protect the innocent people in my pack too. We sat and tossed around ideas of places they could go, but with the three little ones, and Carver's situation with his legs, the places we thought of would never work. "I got it," Riley spoke up. We can hide them right under their noses. Luke, Marion, Ginger and I can do glamor spells on them. Change their looks a little bit when they are out and about. There's a cottage next to Asteria's and Donavon's that would be plenty big enough." my sister-in-law said. Mom protested, saying that if people were looking for them knew them well enough, they would recognize their scent. That it was risky to change their scent because the babies would be confused and might get overly stressed. She was right, that was really risky. Not a bad idea, just risky. You could see the absolute frustration that Damian was holding back. He looked like a ticking time bomb ready to explode. Everyone kept talking over one another, and we were getting nowhere. My dad, Loki, stood up and whistled, causing everyone to pause. "Dammit! We will never get anywhere like this," he yelled. "Has anyone really listened to Damian or Alette about what they want to happen for their family to be safe?" he asked. We all started to look at each other, all except Alette and Damian. It was as if they couldn't bring themselves to speak up against us all. "Pumpkin? What do you and our son need from us? What do you want?" my dad, Liam, asked Alette. "Alette, it's alright, sis, we want whatever you guys want. We just want you and our nephews safe," I concluded. When my sister got overwhelmed, she had a habit of shutting down. However, this time, she opened up a little more. "Truth is, we haven't had a chance to figure out what we want. Everyone has been making our choices for us, well, at least trying to. We haven't even had a chance to discuss it. Can we please take a break so that we can have some time to soak in what's happened?" Alette asked. Dad told her they could take all the time they needed, but to remember time was of the essence in this situation. With her having dad's permission, Alette and her mate excused themselves to go talk. "I have kept my mouth shut for the most part," Asteria spoke up. However, in my opinion, the safest place for them is closer than we think," she said. She, little Asteria, made her opinion heard. She explained that they were on the right track as far as everything else, but they weren't looking at it straight forward. "We already knew that they would come looking at all the packs that are family affiliated to the two of them. What they won't know, is that we have 3 packs who have built secret bunkers that only the immediate family knows about. We just have to convince Alette to go in complete hiding for a little while," she said. "I'm not subjecting my children to hiding in a basement or attic for the long haul. Children need fresh air and the sun. Being cooped up and trapped like animals doesn't work for us," Alette spat. "I am beyond thankful to all of you, but I will be damned if you think you can decide you make my choices for me. Damian and I will go into hiding, but not in any of the packs. We are going to Italy until this all blows over. Damian's friend Dimitri has a villa over there, and he says we can stay as long as we need," she explained. Everyone was left in silence. We had overstepped our boundaries again. "Alette," I started to say before she stopped me. "Adelina, I get it. I understand where everyone is coming from. Like I said, I appreciate everyone wanting us safe. However, I can't put you all in danger. We can't let anything happen to you all. It would destroy me. So, if we aren't even in the same country, you should be safe," she said. My mom stood up and walked over to Alette. She put her hands on her hips and just stood in front of her daughter with tears streaming down her face. "Alette, can't you see, we are already in danger. Whether you are here or in Italy, we are still in danger. If you both leave the country, all of us will probably be in more danger than if you stayed. If these people want you badly enough, they will do whatever it takes to get information. So, running isn't going to solve anything for anyone. Please, don't go that far away, I'm begging you, Alette," our mother cried. When you get mom crying, you know it's serious. Damian hung his head because he knew she was right. The realization of having to go into hiding slowly crept up on him. "Momma Mel, we will stay. I hadn't thought about what would happen, regardless of where we are. I apologize. Lette, your mom is right, it's best if we stay close by. We can't stay here though, Addie. This will be the first place they will look, as well as Blood Moon," he said. Asteria spoke up once again, and this time her plan could work. "What about the former Silver Howl pack? Don't uncle Jason and aunt Rebecca own that land? It's connected to the Starry Moon, and last time I was there, the buildings were still standing, and Jason had some warriors living in the cottages to guard everything. All the buildings have running water and electricity, and we can have everything you guys would need delivered to you," she said. "I like that idea better than any that have been brought up," Damian said. "This is just a temporary thing until we find out exactly who is after me. It could be a number of people that had business dealings with Lawrence, and all the information I had found about who he had connections to is on my laptop upstairs. Anyone know a few good trustworthy private investigators?" he asked. I guess it was settled, and even if Alette wasn't happy about it, I was happy she would be closer to me still. I know she's scared, but she has so many looking out for her that I think she forgets that any of us would lay down our lives for her, Damian and the kids.
