William looked at the entire Myth tribe surrounding him. They like singing and dancing in a strange language. Spears in their hands and the stomping of their feet filled the forest. William didn't know if he should panic or just keep quiet. He didn't understand what kind of situation he was in right now. Dangerous situation or not.
When his head was busy thinking the atmosphere was silent for a moment. The Myth tribe that had been moving and making noises became silent. They all looked in the same direction. Towards the big tree in front of William. The tree is the largest banyan tree. Maybe he's old. But the tree is still very strong and leafy. I don't know what they saw. William only saw an ordinary banyan tree in front of him. Perhaps the Myth Tribe worshiped the tree. But William's guess was wrong. A light appeared and quickly transformed into a male figure in a black robe with a hood that almost covered his entire face. The entire Myth tribe bent its knees before him. Simultaneously they say the same sentence. When the figure raised his hand, everyone was back on their feet. And one of them let go of the rope that had bound William's body.
"Welcome to our world," said the figure as he removed the hood he was wearing.
William was surprised, his face looked familiar. The more he remembered that face, William's memories returned to the past.
"Bill!?!" said William surprised. He remembered that the man standing in front of him was Bill, Anne's assistant.
"You still remember me," said Bill. "I just didn't think you'd realize something so soon."
Bill's words convinced William that the man was also involved in Anne's research. As an assistant, Bill knows everything more than anyone.
"Why? Are you curious?" asked Bill. He walked over to William.
"Anne has made a pact with our tribe," Bill said.
"What do you mean? Our tribe?" William didn't understand.
Bill smiled. He approached William's ear slowly then said, "I've warned Anne that what you do can cause someone to lose their life, but she doesn't care. Just for the sake of her beloved husband being by her side, Anne dares to take this risk."
William was very angry to hear Bill's words. He gripped Bill's shirt roughly, as a result the entire Myth tribe pointed the spear in his hand at William. The situation was of course not in William's favor. Luckily Bill gave orders for all the Myth tribe to lower their spears.
"Don't blame others. If you were loyal and only loved Anne. She would not have taken this risky path. Just for the sake of a child and the love of a husband, Anne was willing to deal with them."
William didn't understand what Bill was saying at all. There was only one thing he understood now. Anne made a pact with the Myth tribe in order to have a son. William suddenly doubted whether Nathan was his biological son.
"Why? Are you doubting your own son now?" asked Bill, laughing. "A professor full of doubts. If you doubt your own son. Give him to me. Do you want it?"
"Why? Is he your son?" William asked quickly.
Hearing that Bill laughed. "If Anne heard what you said, I'm sure the poor woman would be crying right now. You know Will, all creatures on this earth want your child. Humans who are pure in heart will realize that Nathan is special. As for other creatures Nathan is very valuable and a threat to their destruction That's why some of them attacked and caused Anne to take her last breath that night."
William was very surprised to hear Bill's words. He remembered the vampire he had caught. The vampire woman said she would see Nathan. Maybe he meant the vampire wanted his son too, but why.
"Why?" asked Bill. It was as if he could hear William's heart.
"You read my mind?" he asked.
"No, I hear it. Whatever you say in your heart and mind. I hear it."
William took a deep breath. He must focus on his purpose of coming to that place.
"Bill, tell me. What exactly happened to Anne in the past?" he asked.
Bill smiled. He flew floating in front of William. "First you have to believe that nothing is impossible in this world. As a scientist you must deify knowledge. Even though there are some things that you can't solve with science. Things that are beyond reason. Do you believe?" asked Bill.
William looked at Bill without blinking. He never really believed in anything but knowledge. But since seeing vampires with his own eyes, including now seeing Bill fly against gravity. William couldn't think logically. From any angle Bill did not use any technology to make it float.
"I..." William hesitated for a moment. He remembered that Anne had once told him that there were things beyond reason in this world that could not be solved by reason and could only be believed to exist, namely something supernatural and mystical. Those who have religion believe in this.
"How?" asked Bill again.
William looked at Bill. Suddenly a wolf howl was heard in the distance. Everyone was shocked, including William. His instincts told him the howling didn't bode well. Without a second thought, three large wolves appeared in that place. Bill immediately asked the Myths to take cover behind him. Meanwhile William was also alert beside Bill. However, the thing that made his guts disappear the most was when the wolf turned into a human figure in front of him.
"What about this!?!" said William could not hide his surprise.
"Here's another creature who's also after your son, Will. They're traitors to the werewolf nation who want the crystal child's death. They've been searching for him all along. That's why they're here today. Bill was pretty sure the protective fence he was using would hide his place, unless the arrival of a human could provide an opening.
"How are you, Mr Bill?" said one of the wolves.
"I?" Bill laughed. "As you can see. I'm upset, because there is an unexpected guest here.
The werewolf laughed. "Blame the human in front of you. We follow his body odor. So, don't say much more. Leave the human to us," said the werewolf again.
"What? He's our honored guest. How could we just leave him. His safety is our responsibility."
William was surprised. It turned out that Bill was ready to protect himself.
"Relax, Will. I've been protecting you and your son. So don't doubt my abilities. Go with the Myths. Let me have some fun with the three of them," said Bill.
William wanted to refuse, but when some of the Myth tribe pulled him away, William couldn't refuse. After all, what could William do? He did not have any weapons to fight the wolf.
