39. Missed A Button

I sit up in the middle of the bed and stretch big. Then I shake my head. That was a good f*****g nap. I stand up in the center of the bed and stretch. Then I shake my head. I feel like I've been asleep for 3 damn days.

I get out of the shower and comb my hair. Then I put the bottom in curlers. I pick out the sexiest little black dress and highest heels that Tye has in his closet. I put those on with a necklace and bracelet. I dry my hair. Then I eat some mac and cheese on my way up to 6.

I get out of the elevator and hand the plate to the guard.

"Good to have you back."

"It's good to be back. Is Nikolas in yet?"

"Dipak said he won't be in today. He's taking the day to relax. His brothers are with him."

"Thank you."

Elek is at my conference table working. I sneak up behind him and rub his shoulders. He relaxes for me.

He's still working on pricing. He's got a few new packages made too. "Well you put some time into this." I pick up a package paper.

"Yea, everyone seemed to..." He sees me and stops talking.

I read the paper. "Was there more to that thought?"

"Yea I..." His eyes go black.

I nod.

He rubs his eyes. "Fishing package. This one." He shoves another paper at me. "Everyone wanted a fishing package that didn't have kids involved. Tye refused to let it have alcohol. So I'm working on it."

"Could probably put a massage with it. A massage, some fishing. A swimsuit and towel. That sounds relaxing."

He tries to look at me. His eyes go dark.

He stares at the table. It's cute he trying.

I smirk and pull him against me by his belt. Then I throw my arms around his neck and give him a good kiss.

He picks me up by my ass and sits me on the conference table. I pull his hips closer and push his shirt up. He kisses my jaw then goes for my marking spot. I tilt my head so he can. I feel his body relax, then he kisses it.

"Mmmm" I push his shirt up finally.

He pulls it off over his head and I kiss his chest. I work my way up and kiss his marking spot.

Then he grabs the back of my head and kisses me so deep. He kisses my marking spot again and I bite his shoulder. Then I go for his belt.

He finds the buttons on the dress and unhooks them. f**k I need him.

"SHIT." Coral shoves Elek off me. Then she whisper yells, "FIX YOURSELF NOW."

She pulls me off the table and fixes the buttons. Then she fixes my hair and spins me around. Elek's got his shirt on. He's getting the belt fixed. He puts his hands on the table and fixes his eyes.

"So I was telling you about this 1. It's fishing. We're unsure what to add to it."

"I think a massage would do good. Boys seem to like those." I hear my boys coming in. "We really should ask the boys what they would want to do on a fishing day. All I can think is massage and fish. Maybe lie by the pool and enjoy doing nothing."

"Maybe a nice dinner. They probably wouldn't want to get dressed up though."

I laugh. "A nice dinner. Where they can be naked in their rooms doing nothing."

"That's actually perfect, sweetheart."

"You boys want to fish, then get a massage, then sit around naked and have good food delivered to you? Is that your dream alone time?"

"Yea, that's pretty much it, angel."

"We could come up with a voucher for 1 dinner off the advanced dinner menu. They could pick what they wanted and have it delivered to their room."

"Nice. Your choice of an in room dinner. 2 hours of deep sea fishing. 1 hour Swedish or deep tissue massage."

"I like it. Should we put a swimsuit or towel on it?"

Elek shakes his head. "No. With it like it is. Dinner, fishing, massage. People would actually buy that every day they are there. Throw in a swimsuit, and they have no reason to buy it more than once."

"True."

Tye hands me a paper. "This is the menu for the advanced dining plan. Would you change anything?"

"Yes, everything Tye." I hand it back.

"Why?"

"It's confusing." I take it back. "This down here is the basic meal plan?"

"Yes. They can still pick from that."

"That's confusing Tye. So on Monday, they can pick any of the top half. Or Monday's down here?"

"Yes."

"No. Leave the top alone and instead of putting all this at the bottom, just write special of the day somewhere and leave the bottom off. They can ask about the special. Also, these prices are stupid. Every single time I order, I'm getting the steak dinner. I feel like I would be getting ripped off if I bought anything else. It's twice the price as anything else. Change the prices. Make the steak 52g. The chicken 48g. Fish can be 50g. Pasta 47g. Duck 50g. Tuna 53g, hell, it's local. Make it special. Special of the day 45g. Your prices make no sense the way they are now. 50g for steak or 20g for anything else? If it's included, they go for steak every single time. If they are close to the same price, people will pick what they want. Keep the pizza prices the same. They could go to the pool and figure out the real price." I hand it back again.

"Ok. Special of the day and everything just doubled in price."

"I'm negotiating for the old prices on the advanced meal dinners."

Tre nods. "Yea."

Marcus smirks. "Like hell you are."

Me and Tye laugh.

Dipak rubs his eyes. "Next time, maybe you should negotiate for the vouchers before you more than double the prices."

"Yea, I'll take that under advisement. I'm also un retiring the black towel with red eyes. But I want it for all the resorts. I love Tye's dragon towel for the kids. I think a lot of kids will want that. Hopefully, he will put it in the black line. And that would make the black line set available to everyone."

"Of course. What about that red towel with black eyes?"

"That I would like to keep for the castle."

"Ok."

"Did you want it?"

"No, I was only wondering. I'm not making a black eye's anything for kids."

Tre nods. "Good point."

"I had no f*****g idea what to do with the design on the black. All I'm working with is everything white."

Tye rubs his eyes. "I put a red umbrella on mine. The eyes are so much better. Thank you for giving that back."

"Of course. When I saw the dragon towel, I knew I had to." I look at Marcus. "Are you planning on having a pool? You never said any of your ideas."

"Yea, I'm thinking of putting it in a building."

"I like the building idea, then make it attach to the main building somehow. I don't even want to go outside in that weather, wet. Those people are crazy."

Elek looks at Marcus. "If you have a pool in a big building, you could add slides and stuff in there. Put a little kids area."

"I love that. Make a little iceberg looking thing for them to play on."

Marcus nods. "That is a good idea. A mini water park. Maybe carry 3 or 4 of the swimsuit colors."

"I remember talking to the girl in the mountain resort when she sold me my stuff. She said they don't carry anything in white or light colors. Very good camouflage. You could do whatever you want for the pool, just keep that in mind when you're thinking of colors."

"That's my problem. Everything is white. Even the animals."

Coral shakes her head. "Don't think of the area, think cold in general. What do you think about when you think about the cold and snow?"

"Snow men and hot chocolate."

"Penguins."

"Those narwhal things."

Tye rubs his eyes. "Great another head horn. I think about building snow forts and having snowball fights."

She smiles. "I think about cuddling up with a big blanket and reading by a fire."

Dipak looks at her. "My mom always used to make big pots of stew in the winter. I'll still want a thick stew with big hunks of meat when it snows."

"Yea, thick hearty food and sitting around the table with everyone by a fire. And snow shoes."

Nikolas comes in with Tobias.

Tobias smiles. "I think about ice fishing and different animal tracks in the snow."

Nikolas sits by me on the conference table. "I think about big thick socks and bonfires. My brothers and I always used to make a bonfire. We would try to find some liquor to take too. That would warm us up."

Marcus laughs. "I bet."

"The smell of baking bread in the house."

"Yea, the smell of everything baking in the house. I loved the baked apples."

"The cookies."

Thora comes in. "What are we talking about?"

"What do you think about when you think of the cold and snow?"

"Log cabins with a fire, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and hot chocolate with cookies."

Elek smiles. "When we were little, my dad would always be planning something to get us out of the house. He would make scavenger hunts or obstacle courses in snow tunnels. Hell, if the snow was deep enough he'd make a maze. Now I have to help make that shit."

"Any other animals other than penguins or narwhals?"

"Reindeer."

Tobias rubs his eyes. "Great, more head horns."

They all laugh. Dipak smirks. "Remember there's a half wall out there, and you should be fine."

Johen looks at him. "What?"

"He was running from her head horn and flipped over that damn thing."

Elek not laughing. He's got his head in a paper.

"Can I have my door back?"

"It's fine. I like it like this." He goes for the hallway.

Marcus goes with him. "Makes the office seem more open."

"Bigger even." They are gone so fast.

Thora looks at me. "Well, that got rid of those 2 fast."

"Yea, I wasn't even trying to get rid of them. I'll keep that 1 in mind."

"Let them catch you changing clothes in here. If they try to yell at you, be like, give me a f*****g door. I can't shut a door that's not there."

"That's a good idea."

Nikolas shakes his head. "That's not a good idea. Would you want Frode to see her change by accident?"

"NO. DON'T DO THAT."

'FINE. BUT IT WAS YOUR IDEA."

"I am allowed to have bad ideas too. That was 1 of them."

Coral crosses his arms. "Why does it have to be Dipak or Marcus? Can't any of them have the door fixed?"

Tye jumps up. "Ok, back to work." Him and Johen run out. Tobias follows them laughing.

"I am going back to work on the kids' stuff. I'll let you know if I have any other ideas."

"Thank you."

Coral sits on the other side of me. "2 left. Either of you going to fix the door?"

Tre shakes his head. "No way I'm fixing that door."

"At least you said it and didn't run. Why did they run?"

I look at her. "Tye, I think didn't want to start a fight. Johen is still too young. I don't think he has the confidence to fight about something with Dipak. He looks to them for protection a lot."

Nikolas nods. "He'll get it as he gets more used to being a dragon and a vampire. Right now, everything is new."

"So these 2 would fight with Dipak or Marcus?"

"I don't know if Marcus would fight. He's not a fighter. But Dipak and Tre have beaten each other senseless on several occasions already."

"You're not scared to fight Dipak?" Tre laughs.

"I think Dipak might be scared of him."

"Why?"

"They're equally powerful. Tre is... sneakier."

Nikolas nods. "And a little crazier when he's mad."

"Why isn't Tre on the village throne?"

"I put Dipak on the throne when it was me and Dipak. Then we went through some stuff. I was going to take him off the throne and put Tre on. But Tre didn't want it."

"It's too much work. I like doing my own stuff and having free time."

"The reason I was thinking about taking him off the throne was personal. It was an issue between the 2 of us. Looking back, I can see that was stupid. He is a good king. I shouldn't have let my personal feelings cloud my judgment over that. But even if Tre had taken it, Tre would be a good king too. He would be a bit more busy right now."

"A lot more busy. I like not being king of the village."

Coral scratches her head. "But Johen got his dragon from you too. So he's just as strong as the 2 of them."

"Yes. But without confidence. Without knowledge of dragons and vampires. Without knowing how to fight or use swords. And yes, he is learning. He's learning everything fast. I am so proud of him. But that's not something that's going to come to him overnight. I think by the time he catches up to them, the boys are going to be about even."

"They're going to even out? How is that even possible? Their dragons will all get as strong as Dipak and Tre?"

I shake my head. "Stronger. They're all going to get stronger."

"How?"

"The blood thing. After we bond. My dragon told me. It's kind of like sucking the dragon out, but you get the blood. Then my blood will be in them and theirs in me. We'll all get stronger. And I think there are powers that get moved around as well."

"I'm asking my dragon." Coral crosses her arms.

Nikolas kisses my neck. Then I feel him breathe in. s**t. Why is he always smelling me? "Any time."

"It's the blood thing. But you didn't get it right. You have to get the blood from them. The same way as the dragon is passed." I nod. "Then once you have all of their blood in you, you have to do it again, and then they get your blood. So really, everyone's blood is going to be everywhere. But you will all be insanely strong. Because it will be a power boost from all of them. And the dragons will even out. Crazy how that works."

"I'm going to need a vacation after that day."

"You don't have to do it all in 1 day."

"Apparently you haven't met my boys. They're going to want that power."

Tre stands up. "I'm going back to my office. Yell if you need anything other than a door baby."

Coral looks at Nikolas. "So what are your thoughts about the door?"

Nikolas smiles and stands up. "You know how everyone has a scent?" He helps me stand up.

Coral looks at him weirdly. "Yea."

"I learned how to use it against people." He fixes the buttons on my dress. Then he looks back at Coral. "You missed a button."

Her mouth falls open. Elek's eyes get huge. I stand frozen in place.

"I know who touches you. I can even tell you where. So behave yourself." He gives me a little kiss and walks out the door.

"He might be sneakier than Tre."

I nod. "Definitely scarier."

"Well, can you 2 be trusted to work on the packages or do you need a babysitter?"

"We can do this."
