REUNION

Marie had been coordinating at the Soap factory all day and skipped her lunch, she had decided to go to the kitchen to get her portion and when she was passing by the lake, she saw someone struggling in the water, she thought they were playing since there were people laughing at the side of the pool
"They must have so much free time" she muttered and shook her head before proceeding but just as turned she couldn’t see the person struggling anymore
"What happened? "She said looking around before realizing the person was drowning
Without thinking twice, she dived into the water to rescue her, she pushed her to the surface before dragging her to the shore
How could people be so wicked? How can they watch her drown and still be laughing?
"Are you trying to murder her?" She yelled at the group of heartless monsters which got them scared and before she could blink her eyes, they were already gone,
"Just wait! I’m going to find all of you and sharpen your legs into toothpick" she yelled at them before turning to see who she had rescued
"Uhn? Abigail?" she blurt out and quickly get to work, she performed CPR on her with all her might while shouting her name
"Hey! Abigail! Wake up! It’s me! It’s Marie!" She screamed into her ears before resuming what she was doing
“Purr” Abigail gave out some water in her stomach, she continued giving out the water till she had empty all she had gulped, followed by a series of cough before opening her eyes a little to see where she was
"Have I finally gotten to the said heaven?" She muttered with her eyes half-closed
"Come on get up, do you have the time to joke?" Marie said poking her by the side
“ouch” she let out due to the poke, "I must still be alive" She added with a smile and Marie smiled in relief
"Are you okay?" Marie asked checking her out
"I’m fine" Abigail replied struggling to sit
"What were you doing in the water? Did you offend them? How come?"
"Which one do you want me to answer first?" Abigail asked looking confused
"Never mind, let’s get you out of this wet clothes, you can’t catch a cold" Marie said pulling her up
Marie had brought her to the Yellow castle and changed her clothes, she quickly prepared a hot tea and gave her a blanket to keep herself warm
"Woah I just realized you were in the yellow castle that was why I couldn’t find you all this while"
"You were looking for me? I thought you had forgotten about me though" Marie pouted
"Why would i? You were the first friend I made, I can never forget you" Abigail said before taking a sip of the tea while Marie blushed
"But you guys take tea here? It’s allowed?" She asked looking around
"Yes we have access to tea but it’s just a very low quality tea"
"No wonder its damn tasteless" Abigail said and they burst into laughter
"How have you been?" Marie asked taking a seat by her side
"Well I have been here and there, I was scouted by Lady Cecilia after having a bad encounter with those upgraded witches"
"Upgraded witches?" Marie asked looking confused, ah you mean those by the water side the other time?
"Yes, Sharon and her squad" Abigail whispered
"What do they want from you though?"
"Well I lashed back at her when she gave us job that was so exhausting that I thought I would die, so I thought if I talked back or keep silent, I would die either ways so I decided to just say my mind than keep silent and die" Abigail explained
"What a cute kid" Marie laughs and pats her head
"Who do people in the yellow castle work for?" Abigail asked throwing her blanket aside, she was already feeling warm.
"We supervise in various branches of the castle, I was coming from supervising the soap factory when I saw you" Marie answered folding the blanket
"Oh! The soap factory?"
"Yes why?"
"I was also on my way to check on my friend when those little flies came at me"
"Your friend? Who?"
"My roommate, Leah
"Oh I see, finish your tea so we can go back together, I’ll go have my lunch and come back" Marie said and took her leave
"I’m envious of the bed" Abigail said and rolled on it.
The bed is for only Marie while the one in their room is for them both, Leah is a big sleeper, she rocks and rolls all night giving her kicks and sleeping on her, she has gotten used to it so she doesn’t complain anymore
"This bed makes me miss home" she sighed staring at the ceiling, just two years, let’s endure for two years
"Leah, I almost died today" Abigail said running to meet her roommate
"Uhn? Die? Why?" She asked looking confused
"It’s a long story, I’ll tell you at night"
"Ok then, I’m glad you are okay though"
"Here meet Marie, she is my first friend in this castle, Marie meet my roommate Leah"
"Nice to meet you" Leah said bowing
"Nice meeting you too" Marie smiled
"Are you done with your work?" Leah asked Abigail as they head into the factory
"Yes, I finished early, you?"
"We are almost through" she replied
"Let me help you with anything" left Abigail offered
"Okay then"
"Finish up quickly so you can rest before dinner" Marie commanded and they all chorused “Yes” and get back to work.
"Do you think that girl saw our faces?" One of Sharon’s minions asked
"Well I don’t think so but even if she saw our face, I wasn’t the one that pushed her in the water" Sharon said blowing air on her nails
"What? But you ordered it"
"You had the right to refuse, didn’t you?" She questioned looking at her eyeballs
"But you told me to do it" the minion insisted with shaky voice
"Do you have evidence? Or witness?" She asked staring at others, "were you there when I ordered her?" She asked with a stern and threatening voice
"No" they all denied and shook their head
"So you are on your own, be prepared though, who knows, she might remember you and mention you, owww I can’t imagine how badly your backside will be messed up after the punishment"
"This is not…fa…ir" the minion whined
"Life is always unfair sweetie" Sharon said stroking the hair off her face, "I’ll be there to help you make your backside heal, so just endure it" Sharon said with a deadly expression before leaving the room
"She’s the devil himself " One of them blurt out, shocked with the way Sharon had behaved.
*A WEEK LATER*
"Do you want to go swimming with me? I can teach you" Marie asked Abigail as they walk together after dinner
"Would you? That’s so nice of you, I wouldn’t be half dead then if I could swim" Abigail pouts
"But have you ever heard that you are cute?" Marie giggled
"Well my sister do tell me every day, no one to tell me now though"
"You have a sister?"
"Yes I have an older sister, though she’s now married"
"Oh" Marie exclaimed
"She was forced" Abigail dropped after the oh
"Forced? Why?" Marie asked looking confused
"Because…." They were interrupted by the bell which cuts through Abigail’s story
"What’s that bell?" Abigail asked looking confused
"It's time to meet the prince" Marie declared
"Wow, so a month has passed by, I have been in this place for a month now"Abigail sighed
"What are you doing not coming?" Marie questioned and Abigail runs up to her so they can hurry to the hall
