Chapter 72: It's Not Poisonous

"Is it that very beautiful woman with the kid I saved not long ago?" A glow flashed at the man's eyes. "It's really her."

Jasper hurried his movements, looking excited. After picking up plenty of guavas and several pieces of ripe banana, he dashed inside the house.

Meanwhile, Xander and Chen Lei continued their cold war until they reached inside the house. Xander could no longer contain his annoyance and he shouted at him while struggling at his arms. "Chen Lei, what the hell do you want? Put me down, damn you! You're crazy!"

"You finally called me by my name. It's been a long time. What do you think?" Chen Lei gently sat at the wooden bench, but refused to put Xander down. He seemed to be planning to carry him until the end of the world.

"Put me down! Can't you hear me?"

"Put you down?” Chen Lei grinned devilishly. "Put you down and you will run into him? Do you like him?"

"You are crazy! You are hopeless! I just want to move and sit by myself. Am I not allowed to do that?" Xander suddenly flinched when Chen Lei pulled him tightly on his body, screaming and kicking everywhere just to break free. "What is that! Let go! A beast is poking on my butt. You sick p*****t. It's acting up again!"

Jasper's feet nailed on the floor as he heard Xander calling the crazy man by his real name. It's not that he formed fear towards the man, but because he was unable to bring himself to believe his ears.

Was his ears playing a joke to him?

Chen Lei, the President of CL International was standing before his eyes?

The man who was the subject of everyone's mouth, the legendary genius entrepreneur of the nation, who also his idol was actually standing right in front of him and talking to him?

Unbelievable!

Chen Lei was truly a genius and legendary in business since his young age. From the age of sixteen, his name was already known to the world. He was rumored as clean-freak, hated women who showed their motive to him, and ruthless but intoxicating, captivating, and intriguing. Even the presidents of several countries were worshipping him and respecting him a lot, let alone himself. He was just an insignificant ant.

Jasper struggled to pull back himself. He didn't know how to react in that situation. He didn't know how to face Chen Lei. His eyes popped even wider, mind running wild. "What to do? How am I going to face him? But, why is he so different from what I have known? Doesn't he dislike flirty and annoying people? Could it be all rumors?"

"Lieutenant, please enter. Don't just stand in the doorway. The rain is pouring so heavily. So cold. Go in and change your clothes. Don't get sick." Jasper returned to his senses when he heard Xander's voice. Just like the earlier situation, Xander was confined in the arms of Chen Lei, hugging him tightly and exclusively while letting him sit on his lap. As if afraid to let her go.

"Stop showing your concern towards the other man right in front of me." Chen Lei slightly shook Xander and held his chin. "Are you treating presence here as air?"

"You already imprisoned me in your arms, yet you still complain about me showing my genuine concern to the Lieutenant? You are paranoid! Do you think I like the feeling of being touched or carried by you? Do you know how disgusted I am?" Xander said continuously.

Chen Lei and Xander locked their eyes. Both were tough and stubborn, refusing to resign or compromise.

In the mind of Xander, he said, "Xander, go, do something to make him mad. Anger him. Anger him. Who cares if he suddenly lost control. Just let him kill myself if he want. I am sick of this life with him."

In the mind of Chen Lei, he said, "This woman is getting tough. Did she really think I won't dare to do something to her? Just wait and see. Later, I will show you how I am going to punish you. Provoke me? Come on. You are free. But I am prepared to face the consequences."

In the mind of Jasper who was in an awkward position, he said, "When will their baseless fight end? Is he really President Chen? Why is he far different from what I heard about him? Then Xander? Is he really Geneva's cousin? Besides from their looks, I found no other similarities between them. Wait? Looks? Attitude? They seem both gentle and kind."

"Are you done staring at him?" Chen Lei said.

"Auh." Jasper scratched his nape, the other hand was gripping on the hem of his shirt that was carrying the fruits. An awkward smile appeared on his lips. "I don't want to get in between you two. But, Presi—, I mean, dude, you should not treat Xander like that. Being so mean and tight to him is not good in your relationship. Believe me, he will feel suffocated by your behaviour one day."

"Who are you?"

"I am Jasper Joaquin." A friendly smile formed on his lips. "I have known you. You are—"

”I am not interested in everything you are about to say, let alone caring who you are." Chen Lei tilted his head. "I just want you to disappear in front of me. Your face is disgusting to me."

"Hey, you have gone too far!!! How did I offend you?" Jasper unbelievably raised his voice. Anger exploded in his veins. "You know what? I am quite shocked and happy to hear you are Chen Lei. Because you are my idol. But now, I realized that you don't deserve to be my idol at all. You are an evil beast in a human form."

"Lieutenant, don't speak anymore. Stop talking, please." Xander interjected, worry overtook his face. If the two really break into a fight, then, that would be a serious problem. He couldn't let the two offend each other. Jasper would be in trouble.

Jasper ignored Xander's words and added, face flushed in rage. His chest heaved up and down. Feelings erupted like lava in the mountain. "Do you think because you are wealthy and powerful, you can just bully and trample a person as you wish? Do you think everyone is afraid of you? Do you think you own the world and everyone? Who do you think you are? God? You are such a joke! If God is like you, I better not knowing you!"

"Are you done?" Chen Lei coldly asked.

"What? You want to chase away again? Why don't you put Xander down and fight with me? Aren't you fearless? Come on!”

" Lieutenant, stop! Don't provoke him!" Xander exclaimed worriedly. "You can't afford to offend him."

Jasper smiled. "Xander, I am a policeman. Though I am just an ant, I fear none, especially to a person like him. Even if he owns the world."

"I will say it once. Get lost!” Chen Lei said.

"What if I don't?" Jasper raised a brow.

"What is happening here?" Arthur's voice came in the doorway. "Are you guys fighting again?"

Apart from Xander, the two did not bother to look back. Both of them had a sharp gaze fight.

"You are finally here!” Xander breathed a sigh of relief. As if a huge torn was taken out on his flesh. " They are about to fight. Where have you been? Please, stop your boss."

Arthur raised the family buckets of fried chicken in his hand. "I went out to fetch the food in the car."

"You fetch food?" Xander frowned, shifting his eyes at Chen Lei who just ignored him.

"Yeah."

Glaring at Chen Lei, Xander angrily punches the man's shoulder. "There's food in your car yet you still dare to ask me to prepare food for you? Chen Lei, you are so mean!”

Chen Lei cast the man in his lap with a winning smirk. He held Xander's chin frivolously and smiled, "You didn't ask me if I brought food. Don't blame me. Blame yourself. It's actually your fault."

"My fault?”

" Yeah! It's because you're busy arguing with me and busy entertaining the other man. Not telling you, it's just a small punishment on your part."

"You are crazy! Put me down!" Xander bit the man's arm and jumped off.

Chen Lei gritted his teeth, hand covering his bitten arm. "You bit me? Are you a dog?"

Xander pointed at the man' nose, losing patience. "Don't follow me. I don't want to see you! If you insist on pestering me, I'll kill you and I mean it." Saying that, Xander rushed inside the room and slammed the door shut.

Arthur shouted at him. "Are you not going to eat?"

"I'm not hungry!” Xander shouted back from the inside. "Stuff all of that in that devil's mouth! Including the bones!"

Arthur sighed. He slowly walked towards Chen Lei and said softly. "You are really too much."

Saying that, he turned around and faced Jasper, giving him a pair of drumsticks. "Lieutenant, please, take them."

Jasper sneered. "Sorry. But I can't bear to accept your boss's food. I fear… I won't be able to see the sun tomorrow if I eat that."

"It's not poisonous." Arthur said seriously, though he knew what Jasper meant.

"It's poisonous… Like your boss." With that said, Jasper walked over to the side, sat on the bamboo floor and began to eat the fruits in his hand. "I won't starve to death by only eating the fruits I picked myself."

"Up to you." Arthur raised the fried drumstick. Before eating, he said, "Then, I won't be polite anymore."
