Chapter 46: Very Terrible News

614 Words
"Little Xin, behaved." Alyssa Curtis poked the assistant's back. "You're drooling because of him. Disgraceful." Allen smirked. "Why just let her be? She admired me and nothing was wrong with that. Besides, I did not forbid her to admire me. It's her freedom. As if you have never drool over me before. Actually I still remember your infatuated look before. Do you want me to re-visualise it so that your lovely little assistant knows?" Alyssa Curtis glared at him. "Have you had enough? Why are you so narcissistic and shameless? And yeah, why are you here again? I did not remember I invited you here." "Relax." Allen smirked and then sauntered over, hands inside his pocket. Alyssa Curtis sneered. "I won't be able to relax every time I see your face." Allen sat on the empty chair, crossed his legs as he raised a brow at her. A playful smile pasted on his lips. "Miss Curtis, if you say that way I can't really stop thinking you still like me. Well, that's not surprising. Who would be able to relax when staring at a person who is as handsome as me? Right, Little Xin?" Xindy Apostol nodded excitedly. Alyssa Curtis glared at her assistant who also quieted down upon receiving that fierce stare. "You agreed to him just like that? Xindy Apostol, whose side are you now?" "Of course—" Xindy Apostol giggled and whispered, "Of course to you Sister Alyssa. But I also agreed to whatever Mister Allen said." Alyssa Curtis shook her head as she sighed. "You're hopeless. By the way Mister Allen, what brought you here again? If there's nothing important, you ask you to leave. Give us some privacy. This is a women's room only." Allen leaned his back against the backrest, pillowing his arms underneath his head. "There's indeed an important thing I have to tell you. Miss Curtis, have you read the news?" "News?" Alyssa Curtis's pretty face frowned in confusion. "What news? What kind of news? And how is it related to me?" Allen shook his head and took a deep breath. Then he clicked his tongue. "Miss Curtis, how did I offend you? Every time we meet, trouble follows." Alyssa Curtis's eyes turned sharp. "Watch your mouth." Allen extended his hand, pretending he was startled of her sudden change of expression. "Eh, you better calm down. I'm just joking." "I have no time for a joke , Mister Allen. You better leave right now." Allen nodded. "Alright. Alright. I will leave." The man stood up and looked at the woman seriously. "I suggest you open up your phone and read the news. There's explosive news involving you and me written there. Don't get shocked. I'm leaving now." With that said, the man winked at each of them in a sexy manner and then left the room. Xindy Apostol couldn't bring herself to get thrilled from Allen's wink for her. What she was worried about is the meaning behind his words. "Sister Alyssa, what do you think Mister Allen means?" Alyssa Curtis shook her head, rubbing her temples. "I don't know. Little Xin, go get your phone and read some news. Although he is playful and not serious most of the time, he doesn't have a habit of scaring or threatening people." "Okay, Sister Alyssa." "Sigh, what is it this time? Little Xin, have you found it?" Alyssa Curtis urged. "Give me a minute, Sister Alyssa. I'll be quick." Xindy Apostol typed something on her phone and she frowned and looked so worried the moment she got to read something on the screen."Sister Alyssa, I found it. But…" "But what?" "It's bad news. Very terrible news."
