Wore with a pink floral dress, Geneva looked so pure, elegant, and fresh like a young teenage girl. She also appeared so lovely and appealing.
All set, she picked up her purse along with that shiny paper bag and then left the house.
When she arrived at Bluebird Garden, she found Little Love waiting on her by the entrance. He was wearing a grey shirt and black shorts. He looked so cute and adorable little kid. Seeing him in that simple but attractive outfit, Geneva could not wait any longer to hug him. As if they had not seen each other for a century. She rushed out of the taxi and sprinted towards him excitedly.
Little Love also ran into her with a wide smile on his lips, arms spread on his sides so wide. He returned an affectionate embrace to Geneva. His eyes were sparkling with happiness to see her again. Obviously, he was so happy that the woman visited him again.
"Little Love, I miss you so much. I really really miss you." Geneva said while tightening their embrace.
The kid only responded to her with a warm hug and groaned with joy.
"Come, let me have a close look at you." Geneva lovingly cupped the kid's face and then smiled apologetically. "Little Love, you gain fat. This is great. This is great. It only means that you listened to me and ate delicious and nutritious food. Wait, where is Allen? Where is nanny Kath? Did you wait for me alone?"
The kid nodded.
"This won't do. This is dangerous." Geneva looked around. "Why is no one accompanying you?"
"He chased her nanny away, even me." A sweet and cheerful voice came from the gate. "He doesn't allow anyone to accompany him while waiting for your arrival. Are you touched? He specifically waited for you by himself. That only means that you mean a lot to him. Aiyeh, I'm so moved."
Geneva rose up and faced Allen with a stern face. "Allen, are you out of your mind? He is just a kid, how could you let him stay outside all by himself? What if something happened to him? How can you answer that to his father? It seems like you don't want to live anymore."
Allen's jaw dropped, eyes rounded wide. "I can't believe you. How can you blame me? It's clearly this brat's fault. Geneva, I beg you. Today is my birthday, can you spare me even just for tonight? I didn't invite you to scold me or be cold to me just because of that kid. Where is your conscience? Is hurting me your gift for my birthday? What a pitiful man I am."
Geneva rolled her eyes. "You're acting too much again. I am not scolding you. I am just telling you not to be careless next time. We don't know what will happen in the future. Bad things are everywhere."
Geneva squatted back and held the kid's shoulders. "Little Love, listen to me. Don't ever go to a place by yourself next time, okay? It's very dangerous. What if you run into bad guys, then that will be a big problem. You can't do this again okay? We are doing this for your own good. Don't be stubborn. If you want to see me or wait for me next time, please have someone to accompany you, okay?"
The kid nodded.
"Great. That's my darling." Geneva cupped the kid's face and gave him a sweet and warm kiss on his forehead. "Alright. Let's get inside."
Allen heaved a sigh of relief. "Auh, you finally remembered me. I thought you had forgotten me completely."
Geneva rose up and lifted the kid in her arms.
"Hey, hey, what are you doing?" Allen stopped Geneva by extending his arm in front of them.
"What do you think I'm doing?" Geneva raised a brow at him.
"Put him down."
"And why?"
"He is that big already, there's no need to carry him. Doing that, you are spoiling him."
Geneva gave Allen a strange look.
Allen frowned. "What kind of look is that? I didn't say anything wrong."
"You're not. But what's wrong with carrying Little Love? What's wrong with spoiling him? I'd like to do it to him. Could it be that you also want me to pamper and carry you."
Allen grinned like a fool. "Well… you are free to do that. I will be on cloud nine if you do that to me."
"Hmmp, in your dreams. Move aside." Geneva elbowed Allen on his chest to push him on the side and walked inside the house first. "How many guests are there inside?"
"I didn't count." Allen replied softly.
"You didn't count? That only means there are plenty of them inside?"
"Come on. I don't have that many friends here. Where could I get that many friends that you imagined about?"
"Then why didn't you count? Can't even tell how many they are inside."
"Aiyeh, enough asking. You will know that later when we are inside."
"Hmmp, stingy."
The group of three went directly into the backyard. There was a big tree with leaves surrounded by Christmas lights. Under its shade was a big round table and plenty of delicious foods. Around that tree was a beautiful flower shaped pond, where white and pink lilies grow beautifully. The water was clear and chilly where goldfish and other species of fish lived and swam peacefully. Aside from that pond, there were also flowers and excellent landscapes created there. The backyard became a romantic and warm place for dating.
"What an exquisite place. I have been liking it here." Geneva commented. "Allen, you chose a perfect place for your birthday. This spot of the house shows warmth."
"That's of course." Allen smiled proudly. "It's my birthday. Of course I want to celebrate it perfectly. I am not allowed to go out since I'm looking after Little love so I can only look for a place that is as cool and warm as here. I don't like inside the house. The coldness of that man and the dullness of the house are everywhere. As if there's no happiness inside. I hate it. Oh right, when will you start working? I can't just stay around Little Love? How can I look for a girlfriend in this situation? If I can't, you have to be responsible for me."
"Nonsense! Women are following you everywhere, how can you not find one? You should just stop being picky. If your standards are as high as the sky, of course, finding your Ms right is impossible." Geneva raised the bag in her hand. "Alright. Here is my simple gift. Take this."
"Gift? You actually brought me a gift?" Allen laughed. "Thank you. Thank you."
"So happy? You look like a kid."
"Of course I am so happy. We have known each other for so many years. This is the first time you gave me a gift without me begging you. This is the first time."
"Oh really?" Geneva frowned and pondered. "How come I can't remember?"
"Yeah, you always forgot everything that involves me. But it's fine. Tonight is different." Allen brought the gift on his cheat, hugging it as if it was his precious thing. He then suddenly searched for something in his pockets.
"What are you looking for?" Geneva asked.
"I'm looking for my phone."
"What do you need it for?"
"Are you an i***t? Of course I want to take photos with your gift. I'd like to record this special day. Oh, yes. I finally found it."
He even gave his phone a kiss.
"Childish." Geneva rolled her eyes and left him. Carrying the little kid, they took seats nearby.
With a brilliant smile on his lips, Allen opened his phone and took a selfie with Geneva gift. After taking several selfies, he posted it quickly on his social media accounts, and wrote a caption that exploded to the world instantly.
"A precious gift from a special friend of mine. I love it."
After posting his photos, he stuffed the phone inside his pocket and came over to the two in the table. "Are you guys hungry? We can start eating now."
"Is there no one else? You told me you are inviting a few friends over. Where are they?" Geneva asked as she looked around?
"What? Why are you so interested in my friends? Don't tell me you are planning something?" Allen pulled a seat next to the two for himself.
"What nonsense are you spouting about?" Geneva's brows furrowed. "I am just casually asking. Can't I? You told it yourself, your friends were coming. But why is no one around? I don't believe you don't have friends."
"Of course I have plenty of friends. But, I didn't invite them because I want to spend time with my family and closest people only. What? Can't I?"Allen winked at her playfully and then grinned.
"Are we close?" Geneva raised a brow.
"What else then? If we are not, then, why are you here?"
"I am only here to see my darling, Chen Bao Ai. It has nothing to do with you." Saying that, Geneva kissed the kid's crown and the kid smiled happily.
"Ouch!" Allen pretended to be hurt. "You're so mean. Will you die if you don't hurt me even just for one day? Can't you just pretend that you care for me even just for a night?"
Geneva grabbed the man's collar. She slowly drew closer and the atmosphere turned intimate for Allen's senses. In his eyes, a bright light shone around the woman and she was dazzlingly fabulous. Allen couldn't help but gulp. His eyes were blinking in anticipation.
"I. Am. Not. Interested." Geneva giggled. "You suddenly fell in trance. What are you thinking about?"
Allen looked away, embarrassed. "Nothing. Nothing."
"Ayoh, he is shy." Geneva broke into laughter and poked Allen's side.
"Don't be naughty. Stop it." Allen bit his lips to hold his laughter. But he eventually laughed because he was unable to withstand the tickles on his side. "Enough, I'm ticklish!"
Geneva stopped and became serious. "What about now? Feel better?"
"Em,, sort of." Allen smiled.
Two kinds of unhurried steps were caught by Geneva's ears. It came in the corridor. She was about to look over when they heard one of them speak and it was a man's voice.
"Allen, is she the one you are talking about?"
