Allen immediately called a taxi and hopped in.
On his way, Allen took a look at the picture again. Even though the other picture was blurry, he could recognise who it was. How could he forget the girl who changed him?
What most puzzled him was to see her together with a certain person's child.
He frowned as he stared at the picture on his weibo account. If not because his fan uploaded a photo in her weibo, he would not know he was waiting for someone who had forgotten him completely over a child.
"Is it just because of that child?" He mumbled. "Or do they know each other? If they are, what is their relationship?"
Allen shook his head and laughed softly. "I must be paranoid. How could they have such a relationship like I thought? That man is not interested in anyone else but only to his mysterious ex-love. Impossible! Impossible!"
"Sir, are you okay?" The driver of the taxi suddenly asked. "I noticed you mumbling and giggling like crazy."
Allen coughed embarrassingly. "Don't mind me. Just focus on driving. I'm in a hurry."
The driver shot him another look from the head view mirror and said no more.
Allen ignored the gaze of the driver. He went on his contact list and dialed a certain person's number. The call went through but no one answered right away. So he had to dial several times before the person on the other end picked the call.
"What?" The person said coldly.
Allen subconsciously rubbed his arm. Although they were only talking on the phone, the coldness of the man seemed to have penetrated through and the freezing pressure that brought by it made him shiver unknowingly.
"Where are you?" Allen asked respectfully. His voice was gentle and respectful, but only he knew how anxious he was to talk in such an oddly cold voice that probably no one could withstand talking for so long.
"Where are you then?" The person returned the question.
"Can you tell me where are you? What are you doing now? If you're in the office, you better stop your work and get your son back. Otherwise, if Grandma and Grandpa knows that their precious grandson is missing, the consequences are unimaginable. You know that."
"You're threatening me, huh?"
Allen wiped the sweat that seeped out on his forehead. "I'm not! Even if I had a million guts, I still wouldn't dare."
"Then you better go home tonight. Or I will ask my men to drag you home wherever the rathole you hide."
Allen faked a cough. "Erm, erm, you know I'm back in the country?"
"Is that surprising?"
"Yeah, it's not. So I'm surprised that you don't have an idea where your son is right now."
The person on the end fell silent for a few seconds. When he spoke again, his tone was still as cold and intimidating as always. "Where is he?"
"How would I know?"
"You don't know?"
"Come on. I just arrived in the country. If a powerful person like you doesn't even know, how would a weakling like me know?"
"Porsche 911?"
"Hahahaha, you really know me. Okay, I will send you the address after the call."
"You're that happy? Allen, who am I?"
Allen's face stiffened then forced a smile. "Uncle Chen."
"So you still remember who I am?"
"Of course. Of course. How can I forget you?" Allen wiped his forehead again as he murmured inwardly, "Yeah, how can I forget a monster like you?"
"Good."
"Wait!!" Allen exclaimed. The other person hadn't said something else yet but he knew from his tone that he was about to hang up the call.
"Since I remember, no one dared to yell at me."
"Uncle, calm down. I know you will hang up the call without a word so I had to do that. Forgive me, will you? I just want to tell you that I will go there to pick up Little Love with you."
"Whatever." The man hung up right afterwards.
Allen sighed towards his uncle's attitude, put his phone inside his pocket and tapped the driver's seat. "Sir, please hurry."
"Alright. Be glad there's no traffic jam." The driver said and then sped up the car.
Originally, from the airport to the Smile Dish restaurant, the car needed to drive for more than twenty minutes. But since they rushed to the place, it only took them more than ten minutes to reach the place.
Just as Allen was about to enter the restaurant with a large strides while hauling his luggage, a bkack Rolls-Royce and two other expensive cars arrived at the same time.
Allen halted on his track and waited for the certain person to come out. Although he had left the country for more than five years, he was still familiar with the air of superiority around the person, whether he was inside the car or visibly standing in front of him. When the door finally opened, all heads from the inside and outside the restaurant turned to their direction and gawked in both admiration and envy.
The man elegantly stepped his pair of long legs out of the car. He was garbed in beige slacks and suits. His contour was perfect and his entire look was undoubtedly heaven-defying. If one set eyes on him, it would take them enough will to look away.
He was such a feast in the eyes and enviable for looks, wealth, business, and power. In general, it was hard to find flaws in him except his personality. Wherever he went, whoever he faced, he was always indifferent, cold, aloof, arrogant, and intimidating. Even so, he still earned the title as the National Husband and Mr. Right for most women.
Allen slightly looked down to take a peek of the man. "Uncle, you're here."
The man stood upright in front of him. Apart from eyeing him up and down, he asked nothing about his well-being. "Where's my son?"
Allen looked inside the restaurant. Since the entire wall was transparent, it was easy for him to explore his eyes from the outside.
In a mere minute, he found the certain person's table and it was at the edge of the restaurant that was closest to the window.
"Look over there!" He pointed. "He is well and calm. It's more likely he is doing fine alone."
Chen Lei shot him a stern gaze that immediately zipped his mouth closed. He zipped his lips with his fingers and followed him sheepishly inside with the bodyguards silently tailing behind them.
