Chapter Twenty Four

''You heard her,none of them walks out of here alive.Alexa is on her way.''Evans nodded at Saber's word and bowed.

''Leave some for your brothers or they'll get cranky.....Now go and Raise Hell for me,My Servant.''Zorin ordered,earning a slow secret evil smile from Adam who's Inferno Vampire eyes came into play just as the others.He walked down the steps,flexing his hands and his neck.

''Take care of him.''Reina said,turning back to Zero who stared at the events in wonder,his head banging like crazy as sweat began to pool at his forehead albeit the chill in his bones and the whole room.William nodded,helping him to Reina's vacated throne.

''You do know that you don't have to fight,Reina. They'll handle them very easily.''Zorin said,laying back on his throne.

''I know...But that Dark witch b***h is mine!''Reina muttered,making her way through the throng of strays with not a single scratch,all courtesy of Dameon and the rest who cleared the way for her right through to Leila who,in a surprising turn of events was fighting the lime green eyed stranger.The latter's moves were perfect,fluid and amazingly synchronized to the Dark witch's who was beyond pissed at not being able to get to Luke who was behind her.

She'd ducked a punch when Reina caught her hand in hers,pulling her away from the green eyed lady.

''Get him out of that trance!I'll handle her.''Reina shouted back,shoving Leila to the other side of the room where she crashed right through.Leila got up instantly,her dress covered in rubble with a slight bruise on her forehead.She'd blocked Reina's attack with a protective spell but the Royal was still stronger.

''You wanna play rough,huh?I can do that!''Leila shouted,generating dark brown powered fire balls in her hands and shoving them right at her. Reina evaded them simply,her inhuman speed faster than them.

''No matter what you try or what you throw at me....A vampire's speed will always be faster than a Witch's.''Reina said simply,appearing in front of her in a flash and grabbing her by the neck before shoving her into the wall once more.Leila struggled to get out of her grip to no avail,only earning her a harder shove as Reina lifted her off the floor,choking her.

''If you're done with your futile attempt at getting away,I want you to tell me why your power's essence resembles the one that Zachary's killer had,what you're planning and why I should spare you.''Reina said,her eyes instantly turning crimson.

''Ne...ver!''she chocked out just as a stake was thrown her way. Reina caught it with her other hand before it went through her head,turning to the source where Jude was busy ripping the culprit's spine out.

''Sorry,my bad.''He muttered with a slight smile before moving onto the next one.She noticed Alexa,Saber's second servant,Alvin and Avan who were Zorin's second and third servant respectively,and Chief Leonard had arrived.She couldn't spot Isaac anywhere and gathered he'd gotten away which she didn't fuss over much.They'd catch up to him soon enough.Leila's choking sound brought her back to the present,prompting her to turn to her.

''How about we try this again,hmmm?''Reina muttered,shoving the stake she'd had right through her chest.Leila froze,a chocked sound escaping her mouth as blood gurgled out,spilling onto Reina's gloved hand.

''One more inch to the left and I pierce your heart.Now start talking.''She said,earning a silent but pained laugh from Leila.

''The day is......done,Carmesi Princesa!,and the darkness shall fall from the wings of night.....I may not have killed Zachary Black.....but the one who did has just about returned from her slumber and she will destroy you.All this........is just...the beginning....You have accomplished....nothing with my death....Will you be ready it...comes?Will you be ready when the darkness falls?''she stammered out,before choking on her own blood.

''Who shall awaken?What darkness?''Reina asked more urgently,watching as Leila gave her a bloody smile.

''It...has beg..an...''she muttered before her eyes bloodied up and she began burning up with a dark flame. Zorin pulled Reina back as they both watched her disappear into thin air.An involuntary shiver traveled up her spine at the witch's words.

''Well,that was Dark.''Zorin muttered,staring at the burnt imprint she'd left on the wall. Reina turned away and walked back to where Luke was regaining his consciousness.She hadn't felt Zorin's presence at all behind her,something that irked her.She had clearly been even more vexed by Leila's words than she realized.

''Are you okay?Are you hurt?''she asked,watching as the lime green eyed stranger snorted.

''I could have handled her myself you know.....I didn't think you'd recognize me so easily.''she said,taking her masquerade mask off.All the others in the room froze at the sight of her,Saber and Zorin included.

''Well,if it isn't Amelia Walker.I swear I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen her myself...I thought all of Amanda's descendants were dead.''Zorin muttered,standing a few ft away with Saber approaching too.

''Sorry to disappoint,Zorin,but you didn't get rid of all of us.''Amelia replied with a cold stare at him. Zorin laughed out loud with a shrug.

''Still so feisty,I see....well,it was still worth a shot.''he replied,earning an eye roll from her.

''Amelia.......But...How?I never sensed you....How did you know she was here?''Saber asked,still stunned as he went over and hugged her uneasily,turning to Reina for answers.

''There are some people that are truly unforgettable.''Reina replied with a slight smile.

''I will explain everything in due time.For now,we have more pressing matters.''She said gesturing at the surroundings.Luke woke up fully with a gasp then,backing away from Reina.

''What the....Where am I?''He asked,looking around at the perfect beings staring down at him,their clothes covered with smears of blood.

''You are safe....You'll be alright,right?''Reina said,looking up at Amelia who nodded as Luke held his head.

''Its just an after effect of the spell.You'll be fine.''she said,leaning down and putting her hand on his forehead.

''I don't mean to ruin the moment but I don't think Zero is very okay..''Dameon interrupted,looking down at a shivering Dameon who was now collapsed on the floor,William beside him. Reina was beside him in the blink of an eye,holding his hand.She looked up at William who nodded.It was time.

''Zero?What the hell is happening to him?''Luke shouted from beside her,Amelia behind him as were the rest.

''When is his twenty second birthday?''Reina asked,turning to Luke who was disoriented with worry marring his handsome face.

''Ummm...Its tomorrow.....wait,''he glanced at his watch and shook his head,''no,today.''he added.Amelia instantly went pale,the rest freezing on spot.

''Well,that complicates everything.''Zorin muttered,earning a warning look from Saber.

''What?Why?''Luke asked urgently,looking from one person to the other.

''Get him to the car and take him to my Mansion.....Is the ball over?''Reina ordered over to William who nodded and picked him up before turning to Saber.

''Yes.Lady Maya has just finished seeing off the guests.''Alexa spoke up after earning a nod from Saber.

''Fine.Go,I'll follow behind.Get him there as fast as you can,William.''She ordered just as William disappeared with Zero in his arms.

''Stop it!Wait!I'm not going anywhere without him!Look,I have no idea what the hell you guys are into but I am not going anywhere without my best friend!''Luke shouted,earning a whistle from Dameon just as Jude held back Avan from advancing towards him.

''Fine.Take him to the mansion with you Amelia.I'll need your help either way.''Amelia nodded though she could see the worry on her face.She clearly wasn't with the plan.

''What are you going to do?''Saber asked worriedly as Reina turned to them.

''What needs to be done.''she said,relaying what Leila had said.

''Try to find out what she meant by all that.Call me if you get anything.......Dameon. Jude.I need another favor.''she said,taking Dameon aside and relaying her request.

''I will.Be careful.''he said,watching as she nodded at all of them before disappearing out of the hallway and back into the main halls.She could feel Maya stare at her from the top of the stairs where she was getting the helps to clean up.She could feel the turmoil and bulk of questions within her but she knew she couldn't do it......

''Just a little bit more..I promise.''Reina muttered,going through the opened exit doors and disappearing into the night when she heard the familiar footsteps run toward her......
