"Which movie we are going to?" I asked them, playing with my hairband around my wrist.
"I don't know what movie is playing there, we will see one's we go there," Allen replied.
I nodded my head before pulling my hair into a bun. We four looked like a group of friends. They are actually fun to be with and gossiping is their favourite cup of tea. I like to hear gossips which include the village and their school life. Aiyna is the most talkative one among the three while Lily only talks when she is with her people.
I decided to look out of the window, this place really made me feel warm. Aiyna and Lilly were talking about their odd semester which they are going to write the next year.
We reached the mall and I got out as fast as I can because I felt numb by all sitting. I looked at Aiyna and Lilly who are now looking at me or someone who is behind me. Confusion surrounded their faces as they looked at something behind me.
I turned to see what they are gazing at, I saw a group of men standing near the entrance. They didn't look like security guards, they looked more like some important people.
"Who are they?!" I asked no one in particular.
"They are the Royal castle high guards," Allen answered closing the car door and standing beside Lilly.
"Guards?" I asked him again because they nowhere looked like sentinels.
He chuckled "Ruby they work for Royals, obviously, they have high maintenance in their physical appearances. They dress up highly and every person who works for the Royals look like semi-Royal. It is hard to get a job or position what we call in the palace. But they do have great privileges if they passed the tests," Allen explained.
"Ohh!"
"What are they doing here? Did something happen?" Aiyna asked with a thoughtful expression.
"They must be doing the safety rounds and checking ups," Lilly spoke answering Aiyna's question.
"Aren't they hot?" Ayina asks looking at me. I turn around and do a checkout. I nod my head.
"Yeah, they are hot and serious," Aiyna chuckles and Allen shakes his head.
"Now come on we are running late for the movie!" Allen said, making us walk towards the huge mall in front of us. I observed everything I saw which came in our way, I couldn't help myself from being surprised. The mall looked more like a palace from inside as it has the interior like palace one. With huge golden lights. The place is not that rush.
There were people who looked at me and smiled, the people who had an eye contact t with me smiled and even greeted surprising me.
"I don't know them and they don't know me... Why are they smiling and greeting me?" I ask the three in confusion.
"Oh, whenever a new person visits the village. Everyone in the village will be known. And you are going to stay here for a while which means a letter is sent to every house in the village except yours to welcome you and treat you like a member of this village," Lilly spoke.
"Wow!" I exclaim hearing that. I never thought everyone would be knowing about me.
We took the escalator as the movie theatre is on the first floor. We walked towards the food counter as Allen went towards the ticket counter. We are going to watch some mid-period romantic movie.
"I will have the coke and french fries, oh we even have the chicken pops today," Aiyna says.
"Coke and a large popcorn for me," I tell the lady.
"The same for me and Allen," Lilly tells. We four made our way towards the entrance, the cinema hall guy showed our seats. We bought the sofas as the whole cinema hall is already booked.
Anyway, I'm happy that we got the sofa's; we can lay down comfortably and watch the movie. I sat down with a large popcorn box and coca-cola. The lights were turned off as the movie is about to start.
By the end of the movie, my cola and popcorn are empty. Though the first half is a bit boring the second half is good. I enjoyed the movie.
We decided to crash at the eagle boys pizza which is on the third floor; According to Allen, Aiyna and Lilly, they have the best pizza. It was past 4:00 pm and my stomach is growling for food.
"Our school starts tomorrow," Lilly murmured eating her chocolate. I drank my water looking at them.
"Well aren't excited to go?" I asked amusement lazed in my voice.
"I'm but you know we going to have advanced classes which means we couldn't meet you often," she said.
"You three can crash at my home at nights for a sleepover or something like that, I don't mind though as I like you guys," I said truly. It's better to have them in my home rather than being alone.
"We can?!" Aiyna asked me.
"Sure you can," I said laughing lightly.
"Our school starts at six in the morning and ends at three. We will meet you after 3:30 pm," Lilly said taking a block of chocolate from Aiyna.
"Six in the morning? That early?" they chuckle nodding their heads.
"It's because we have pack training together," Aiyna says making me confuse.
"Pack training?" Her eyes widen for a split second before Allen opened his mouth.
"Exercise, she meant the group physical training... We have to take self-defence classes."
"Oh, that's cool."
We ordered our food and talked about random things about our favourite things. When we returned home it was already 8:00 pm, we first dropped Lilly at her home on our way.
"Goodnight Ruby, it was a good day," Aiyna said.
"Goodnight," Allen said.
"Goodnight, I enjoy being with you guys," I said giving them a hug and entering my home. I'm not hungry. I made sure every door and window is locked before going to my room.
I switched on the lights of my room, I made my way towards the closet. I removed my clothes and changed into something comfy before putting on my cute fluffy flip-flops.
I headed back into my room, I wasn't sleepy so I took out a novel from my huge bookstand. I sat on the comfy sofa across the window which I liked the most because I can see the backyard as well as the never-ending forest.
I choose the novel "A half-baked love story" by Anurag Garg and Gunjan Narang. They are Indian authors. This book is suggested by one of my followers. I always wanted to complete this book, never got the time to even start.
Now that I don't have any work I began reading the book, I was half-way in the book when I felt the need to look out of the window towards the woods, and at first, I couldn't see anything but the darkness of the night. I was wrong as I looked at the narrow path from my backyard to the woods.
I saw something but couldn't put a pin on what it is so I narrowed my eyes on the path to have a good vision of whatever it is. As if knowing I couldn't see, the thing stepped out a little and I was startled as I saw what the thing is.
My eyes are wide open as I stared at it, the moonlight is enough for me to know what the thing is. There is this huge wolf standing in the woods looking at me or should I say right into my eyes with its golden eyes. They were so gold in colour that they are shining outmost in the darkness of the woods.
The huge black wolf is so beautiful that I never thought wolves are that huge, I saw so many wolves but never saw a wolf-like this. I mean the wolves I saw are not even like this one in height, or eyes. They all have black or brown but never golden.
The moonlight falling on the wolf making its black fur shine and it looked so soft that for a moment I felt like running my fingers through its fur. And it howled looking at the moon making me jolt like a madwoman from my slumber. The book in my hands fell down from my lap making me realise that I fell asleep and I was dreaming.
But it felt nothing like a dream. It...it felt so real that there was a real wolf standing at the woods. I looked at the woods to see nothing but darkness. I decided to have a glass of milk so that I can sleep without any dreams.
"That was something..." I muttered rubbing off the saliva off my cheek.
I went down to the kitchen switched on the lights before walking towards the fridge, I pulled out the milk carton then took a utensil from the cupboard to boil the milk. I poured the milk in the utensil before turning on the stove. I waited for the milk to get warm.
I turned off the stove taking a glass to pour the hot milk into the glass. I added a spoon full of Horlicks and sugar. When I drank the milk I put the glass in the sink and looked at the window to see the same huge black wolf from my dream looking right into my eyes. I rubbed my eyes with my palms not wanting to be in a dream or to be fooled again. When I opened my eyes there was nothing but the swing in the backyard and trees. It's my illusion I said to myself before going upstairs.
"But that wolf was so beautiful, are they any wolves around here?" I ask myself loudly walking towards my room.
