Alan POV
I can't believe how much I've hurt Stacey.She was barely talking to me.She wasn't even looking at me.Maybe I frightened her.I don't want to hurt her.I was concerned for her.She needs to understand that.
"Stace..." I called her.She was listening to songs on her laptop.
"Yes?" She said as she raised her brows.
"Can you come here?" I asked her.She smiled and obediently came to me.
"Why do you think that I shouted at you?" I asked her.
"Because you were concerned about me.'' She replied.
"If you understand then why are you still upset?" I asked as I motioned her to sit on my bed.
"I am not upset." She said as she looked down.
''Then?'' I asked.
"Alan,you-I can't lose you." She said as she burst out in tears and hugged me.I held her closer to me and asked,"What happened?"
"Alan,your oxygen rate,it's-it's decreasing."
"What?'' I said as I looked back on the small monitor beside me.My oxygen rate was now 85.It was dropping.
''Did you tell the doctor?"
"Yes,Alan.They told me not to tell you.If you worry about this.You condition will get worse." She said.
"Stacey." I said as I looked into her eyes.
"Alan,will they treat you properly?" I asked him.
"Yes,they will treat me the best." I said as I kissed her cheeks and held her closer to my chest.
Am I dying?
'ALAN!" James screamed and entered my room.
"What's up?" I asked him.
''Not you,Stacey?'' He turned to Stacey and called her.
"Yes,I am listening." She said.
"What-what was the name of the doctor who treated you this morning?"
"Um,something Eleanor.I don't remember." Stacey said as she tried to recall.
"Guess what Alan?There is no doctor in this hospital with the name Eleanor." James said as he turned to me.
"What..." I was flabbergasted.
"The doctor who has been treating you is Earl Knight.He was not here this morning that's why I had to bring someone else.I never realized that---" He fell to the ground.
"James!" I screamed as Stacey got up and held James to get up from the floor.
"This is my fault.Alan,he gave you the wrong treatment to you last night and this morning.Earl knight was on a leave and Dr.Alonzo Alexander was his substitute but he is missing since last night."He said
"Alan,did you see your oxygen rate decreasing?He gave you the wrong treatment and Stacey!" he turned to her and gave a black face.
"What did he do to her?'' I asked as I clenched my fists.
"Did he inject you or put any cream on you?" James asked.
"Yes,he injected me with something while you were gone.He told me Alan had some sort of flu so it was a vaccine for that." Stacey said and James looked at me and his face turned red.
"Alan..." James said.
"She might be pregnant." He whispered.
''What!No,no,no.Not again!" She cried.
"Stacey come here." I called her but she was too shocked to move.
"Stacey..."She wasn't listening to me.
"James." I called him.
"Yes." He responded.
''Take her to a real doctor and check whether she's actually pregnant or not.Find this Eleanor and if he is married,f**k his wife and impregnate her with one of your boys.If he's unmarried,do it with his mother.Send Apex to guard John.Make sure he hides nowhere.Make him suffer do anything.'' I whispered.
''Alan!" Stacey hugged me and cried.
"You can't leave me." She cried.
''I will never leave you Stacey.Not even in death.''
"Please save him." She begged to James as he ran out of the room.Soon a doctor came and gave me an oxygen mask.I couldn't breathe properly.I looked to my right,there was Stacey,holding my hands.On my left,was James,crying.
"I will come back to you,I promise." I said to Stacey from under the oxygen mask.
"Don't break your promise."
"I love you,Stacey." I said holding her hands.
"Come back to me." She said as the doctors took me to an ICU.
Stacey POV
Alan was taken to an ICU.I stood outside it,crying.I wasn't worried about myself.All I prayed for is he will survive.
"Stacey." James said as he put his hand on my shoulder.
"James,please tell me he will be okay,please.I'd give away everything just make sure he will come back to me." I cried as James held me.
'Do you want to take your pregnancy test?''
"Yes."
"Come with me."
"Tell me where to go,you stay with Alan."
"Stacey."
"Please!If you do not stay with him,I won't go either''
"Okay" James talked with a female doctor and she guided me while he stayed with Alan.
The tests said,I wasn't pregnant.I was drugged with chlordecone.It wasn't very serious.
I ran back to James and said,"I am not pregnant."
"Maybe the injection did not work this time.Congrats."
12 Hours Later.
My face was pale from crying all these times.Alan was back in the cabin but was unconscious.
I sat beside the window and prayed all night,"Almighty,take away my entire life,destroy me,make me suffer but don't let anything happen to him.I'd rather die than seeing him in pain." I prayed and cried all night.James tried to calm me down but I was broken and devastated.I didn't sleep,didn't eat.All I did was pray for Alan to recover.
Things were so dull without him.He doesn't deserve this.
I went and sat beside Alan.It felt like something trapped him inside and he was struggling to come out.
The doctors said he had only 43% of surviving.The ill-treatment had an huge effect on his entire body.
I cried and put my head on his chest,"Alan,why are you suffering so much?You don't deserve this pain,you don't deserve any of this.You are the best human being.You don't deserve this." I could hear his heartbeat.I kissed him on the chest and said,''Alan,I may have hurt you a million times,I disrespected your love towards me,betrayed you and what not.If you wake up and give me another chance.I will love you for an whole eternity.Yes,Alan Black,I love you." I said as I broke down in tears.
He wasn't hearing any of this but I said it anyways.I loved him and there is no denying that I didn't.
