Mate!

***Samuel's P.O.V.***

I enter my office to see Katie sitting on the desk, crossing her legs with a short skirt riding up her thigh and wearing a strapless shirt that is barely holding in her breast. It was obvious she wasn't wearing a bra from the way her n*****s were bursting through. She hops off the desk when I walk in and strides over toward me.

"There's the big bad Alpha. I've missed you," Katie's voice coos.

She puts one of her arms around my neck and the other on top of my belt, attempting to remove it until I grab her hand to stop.

"What's wrong, baby? I know you want me," Katie pouts.

Before she could say anything else, I pull her hands off me and throw her out of my office, closing the door in her face. Katie bangs on the door loudly, to the point it becomes irritating, so I open it.

"We're done. Don't ever touch me again or come back to my office dressed as a skank from this day forward. I'll only be with my mate," I declare before slamming the door in her face again so I can finally get to work.

***Katie's P.O.V.***

Mate?! He doesn't have a mate! Unless... Did he find one during that Alpha ceremony? Whoever she is, it doesn't matter. He'll come around and come back to me. I know what he wants, and only I can give it to him.

***Callie's P.O.V***

**beep**beep**beep**beep**

What's that noise? Where am I? I try focusing on the last thing I remember, but it hurts too much to think. I slowly open my heavy eyes. At first, everything is blurry, but after a few blinks, things become clearer. I see a windowed door covered by a partially open curtain, white walls, and machines surrounding me.

I realize then that it was the machines making those beeping noises. The constant sound of them is causing me to have a migraine. I look for a way to turn them off when I notice an empty chair placed right by my bedside. I reach to turn shut the machine off when I notice my hands.

It seems that most, if not all, of my bruises have gone away. I move to sit up, but I'm sore all over, especially on my face. When I adjust myself to sit up, I suddenly hear a voice.

**Nice to meet you, Callie. I'm Alice**

The monitor that was going steady is now beeping faster as panic sets in.

"Who's there?" I cry out, causing a man to rush in.

When my eyes caught sight of him, it was like the world was moving in slow motion. He's beautiful. I notice his eyes first. They were hazel with flickers of green. His hair was golden brown, and he was so tall. He's wearing a black t-shirt that seems one size too small, as his muscles are practically popping out of his sleeves, and blue jeans that fit in all the right places.

"Doctor Murphy, she's awake!" he calls out.

A woman, who I assume is a nurse, walks in, followed by a man in a white coat. The gorgeous man walks up to me, causing my heart to race and butterflies to build up in my stomach.

**MATE!**

I hear that voice cry out again. I search around me to see where it's coming from.

"Did you guys hear that?" I ask.

"Hear what?" The man in the white coat asks.

"It was a girl's voice she said, mate."

"Seems to me, Callie, that you can now hear your wolf," he cheers.

I couldn't help but tear a little. This is what I have been waiting for, and it's finally happening. I have a wolf!

The doctor begins to do some tests to check my abilities and starts commenting on my healing and how it is starting to progress now that I have access to my wolf.

"What's the last thing you remember?" He asks, pressing a cold object over my heart.

"I was leaving my pack, and then I crossed the border. After that, everything went blank. I... I... can't remember. Where am I? How long have I been here?" I ask, a bit concerned for my own safety.

Before the doctor can answer, the man standing next to me tells the doctor and nurse to leave, notifying them that he will explain everything. They automatically did as he said. Once the door closes behind them, he takes a seat on the chair next to me. He reaches his hand out to touch mine, making the voice in my head scream.

**MATE, MATE, MATE***

I wince a little from the headache it's causing. But as soon as the man speaks, I become so distracted by his voice that the pain falls away.

"Hello, Callie, my name is Samuel, and my wolf is named Zack. Has your wolf told you their name yet?" Samuel says.

**Alice, my name's Alice!**

I hear her shout, so I relay the message.

"Her name is Alice."

***Samuel's P.O.V.***

Alice, what a beautiful name. Zack's going crazy, running circles in my head, howling her name. I thought it was a fitting name for her wolf.

"You crossed our borders, and one of the guards found you. He believed that you were a rouge, so you were sent to the dungeon. When I went to investigate, I could smell your scent and hear Zack going crazy shouting mate-" Before I can finish, she interrupts me.

"Wait, are you saying I'm your mate!" she sounds shocked as if the whole mate concept is new to her.

"Yes, and if the voice in your head is screaming, mate, that means I'm yours too."

Tears begin to fall on her face, making me worry. Does she not want me?

"Sorry, I'm crying, I never thought this was possible for me. I'm twenty, and honestly, today is the first time I have ever heard my wolf, and if you truly are my mate, then I'm in awe because you're just so... attractive," she blurts out.

Callie's cheeks blush as she tries to avoid my gaze. I want nothing more than to grab her and pull her close. I want to kiss those lips of hers, but I don't want to rush her.

"I need to tell you a few things if you're up for it. Or I can wait until you feel better and explain everything," I offer.

She looks up at me with curiosity in her eyes and nods, letting me know I should continue.

"You left the Red Moon pack and entered my territory, also known as the High Crescent Moon pack. I'm the Alpha. My name is Samuel..."

Her eyes grow wide when I reveal who I am.

"...The reason you couldn't hear your wolf was because you had been drinking wolfsbane. This was suppressing your connection to her. You are also apparently half-witch, but you can't quite access your abilities yet until you have fully mated. It's also important to note that you'll need to do it before you turn 21 because if you don't mate with me by then, basically, you'll die when you turn 25," I detail everything.

Her mouth drops open. I can see the wheels turning in her brain, trying to process all of what I said.

***Callie's P.O.V.***

I process his information, starting with the fact that he's an Alpha.

**Isn't it exciting that we can finally speak to each other? I've been trying to connect with you since you turned 18**

Hearing my wolf's voice calms me. I figured she would be the best person to discuss everything I learned from Alpha Samuel.

"I can't believe we're mated to the Alpha," I say in my head.

I was still in shock and wanted to know what Alice thought.

**I know, and he's sexy**

I blush again from her words but then suddenly feel sad.

"I'm sorry, Alice. I didn't know I was suppressing you."

**You didn't know, but now that you can hear me, I need you to know that you really are a half-witch, and it's important you begin training as soon as possible**

I understand what she's saying, but I'm still fearful because I never knew how to fight. I was more of the punching bag, and if I were a witch, I'd have to learn how to use magic. Then, in a flash, everything Samuel went over suddenly hit me.

"Did you say I have to be fully mated before I can have access to my abilities... and that I only have a year, and if I don't mate, I'll die at 25?!"
