DAPHNE's POV

"Daph, go to your room. May mahalaga lang kaming pag-uusapan." Narinig kong utos ni Daddy nang makapasok na sina Sir Marco at Ma'am Cathy sa bahay. I nodded and went up the stairs to stay in my room.

Kapag ganyan na ang tono ni Daddy, it is better not to ask anything. Dahil mas madalang pa sa patak ng ulan sa disyerto kung magseryoso ang Daddy Pio ko.

Sir Marco is my favorite Math teacher while Ma’am Cathy, his wife, is also one of the teachers in our school. She is a Science teacher and also the adviser of Zeth. Mabait din s’ya at super ganda pa n’ya. Pero syempre ay walang mas gaganda pa sa Mommy ko, and that is according to my Dad.

Rumor has it that their son is going to transfer to our school next week. At malakas ang kutob ko na ‘yon ang pag-uusapan nila ngayon. It's already September and we have started the second grading period. I wonder why he has to transfer now?

That was kinda weird!

And oh!  According to one of my bitchy classmates, Stracy, Ma'am Mel and Sir Jessie's only daughter, Sir Marco’s son is the top student in their school. And not only that… Most of my classmates were saying that he’s undeniably handsome!

Hmmmm. Really? Alright! Let's just see if he can beat me!

I smirked as I already anticipated things and future events in my head. Wala namang lalaki ang hindi nahuhumaling sa akin mapa-school man o kahit na saan. And for sure, Sir Marco’s son will never be an exception!

And so, I was really excited to go to school the next morning. I don’t know why but I kinda have the feeling that this day will not be the usual boring days at school! I feel like it’s going to be an interesting and long one!

“Hurry up, my gorgeous princess na mana sa akin! We're already ten minutes late!”

Rinig kong tawag ng Daddy ko habang nagbabasa ako ng manga series na sinusubaybayan ko.

Oh well, I'm an Otaku and I'm so proud of it!

I always feel like it is more interesting to read a book than to attend class every freaking day. Paulit-ulit lang naman kasi ang mga pinag-aaralan. At karamihan sa mga pinag-aaralan ay matagal ko nang alam!

“Hi, Daph! Good morning, Sir!”

Ngiting-ngiti si Gio nang bumati sa amin ni Daddy pagpasok sa gate ng school. Gio is one of my ex-boyfriends. I almost rolled my eyes as I saw how he feasted his eyes in my body. Tss! I just smiled at him and continued walking.

It’s pretty obvious that he's still drooling over me after I dumped him huh?

“See you later, my princess. Mwah!” my Dad said after giving me a quick peck on the cheek. “I'm dead meat..” narinig ko pang bulong n’ya kaya napatingin kaagad ako sa tinitingnan n’ya.

Nilingon ko ang faculty room at nakita kong naka-cross arms si Mommy sa pinto at halatang si Daddy ang hinihintay.

Oh yeah! He's really dead. Tsk!

Pagdating ko sa classroom ay iiling-iling si Sir Jessie sa akin. Nginitian ko lang s’ya at binati bago tumuloy na sa pwesto ko.

“Good morning, Daph. Manang mana ka talaga sa Daddy mo!” He said while smirking at me. Ngumiti lang ulit ako sa kanya.

Oh well, kahit madalas akong late sa klase n’ya, hindi naman s’ya nagagalit as long as masasagot ko ang mga itatanong n’ya sa akin sa recitation. In which I never failed to do so!

I just smiled at him again and sat in my favorite spot in this room. Tahimik at makakapag drawing ako hanggat sa gusto ko.

“Late again, late everyday! Gosh! Iba na talaga kapag principal ang Nanay…” I heard someone whisper. I really don’t need to actually think who it was.

Who else would dare to spew nonsense in this class? None other than… Bitchy Stracy!

“Don't mind that b!tch, Daph…" bulong ni Phoebe, my best friend and also Ninong Fred and Ninang Robie's only daughter.

I just took a side glance at Stracy’s side and mouthed "loser b!tch" at her and formed my fingers into letter “L”

I rolled my eyes when she gave me her famous "death glare". And of course, I just answered her with my usual bitchy grin which made her furious and annoyed! That’s what she always does. She would try to annoy me and when I try to stoop down on her level, she will end up being annoyed and condemn me the whole freaking day!

Napatingin kami sa pinto nang may isang lalaking nakatayo doon. Agad na nagbulungan ang mga classmates ko kaya nag-angat na rin ako ng tingin sa gawi n’ya.

Phoebe elbowed me. “I guess, s’ya na ‘yon…" she whispered while looking at the guy standing next to Sir Jessie. I arched my brow as I tried to look at him.

So, that guy is Sir Marco's son, huh?

“Guys, I want you to meet your new classmate, Marcus Cian Ayson. Alam kong may idea na kayo kung sino s’ya at kaninong anak s’ya," nakangiting pakilala ni Sir Jessie doon sa lalaki. And because of that, he got my full attention. Not only because he is my favorite teacher’s son. But because there’s something about him that made me wanna look at him any further.

I can't help but notice his whole features. Matangkad, mestiso at chinito. He's wearing an eyeglasses na bumagay naman sa bilugan n’yang mukha. He resembled his Dad a lot and that’s one thing that is very noticeable about him. Ngumuso ako at humalukipkip. He doesn't look lively like his Dad though! May pagka mysterious type s’ya at mukhang napakamahal ng isang ngiti!

And definitely... not my type!

Hmmp!

“Nice meeting you all. I hope we get along well,” he said in front.

Tumaas ang kilay ko. His facial expression contradicts what he just said.

Attitude din, huh?

Nakita kong lumakad s’ya palapit dito sa likod kaya napatingin ako sa paligid. Wala na nga pa lang ibang vacant seat kung hindi dito sa tabi ko.

Umupo lang s’ya kaagad at hindi man lang ako tinapunan ng tingin. I composed myself to face him.

“Hi!”

I gave him the sweetest smile that no one could ever resist. But to my dismay, he just gave me a quick glance at muling ibinalik ang tingin sa harapan.

Whoa! Wait!

Did he just... ignore me??

Daphne? The campus princess?

Really??
