Chapter three

It was Sunday morning and I woke up in Max's bed. I yawned and turned over, seeing Max was still sleeping. I felt hungry so I got up and went downstairs. I went to the kitchen and took pancake mix out and made some pancakes for everyone with cut bananas and some fruits. I poured orange juice and sat down, eating my pancakes.

Once my pancakes were finished I took my plate to the zinc and I washed it. I drank my orange juice and took Max's pancakes, with his orange juice and I took it upstairs. I put the plate and glass next to him and gently nudged him, hoping it will wake him up, but it didn't.

"Max" I groan softly and he was still fast asleep.

I climbed on top of him and gently jumped up and down, in hope's that will wake him up. I sighed and pulled his hair, making him wince.

"Oh, Cassidy" He looked at me and pouted, making me giggle.

"Goodmorning sleepy head. I made you breakfast which is already cold" I giggle and he shakes his head, rubbing his eyes.

"Next time I'll get you back," He says and I smile, climbing off.

He sat up, taking his plate, setting it on his lap and he starts eating it.

After a couple of minutes, he set the plate down and drank a sip of his orange juice.

"Thank you for breakfast" He smiled and I booped him on his nose and got up.

"Where are you going?" He asked, pouting and I took his plate.

"I made breakfast for Alexander and it's probably cold so I'm going to heat it and give it to him" I smile and he nods. His expression was hardened.

I walked back downstairs and warmed up Alex's pancakes, and put the fruits over them. I took his orange juice and plate upstairs, walking to his room, and opening the door. He was busy on his laptop and he looked up at me.

"Goodmorning Cassidy" He smiled and I walked up to him, setting the breakfast on his nightstand.

"Morning. I made you breakfast" I smiled and he took the plate and put it on his lap.

"It looks great. Thank you" He smiled and I smiled in return and walked out. I wanted to talk to him even more but I felt so awkward and shy. I closed the door and walked back to Max's room.

Max was putting his running shoes on and I pouted. Not a chance I was running with. I hated running and I was super lazy.

"Don't go" I pout and he chuckles.

"I'll be back soon baby girl" Max smirks and fixes his hair. He looked hot as f**k. His hair was messy, he had his running shorts on and a running top that flashed his muscles and all his tattoos on his arms.

"Soon isn't now, Max" I huff and he chuckles, kissing me on my forehead and he walks downstairs and I follow him.

"What am I suppose to do?" I pout and stomp my foot, making him laugh and shake his head.

"You can swim, ride horse, do whatever you want. You know that" He says and I sigh and nod.

"Just be safe, okay?" He asks and I nod.

He puts his AirPods in his ears, putting his phone in the pocket of his running shorts, and leaves.

I might as well ride horse. I walk upstairs and get changed into my riding clothes. I tied my hair up brushed my teeth, going downstairs. I walked to the barn and groomed Karma. I brushed out his mane and brushed his body down, brushing the dust out his coat.

I walked to the other part of the barn that had a fridge and a bathroom connected. I took out a carrot and broke it up into smaller pieces.

Karma's ears pricked up and I fed him it. Once he was done chewing I put the bridle on him. I fetched the saddle and tightened the girth. I climbed on him and walked to the jumping ring.

I noticed the jumps were still very high from when Alex was jumping. I climbed off Karma and fixed the jumps to my level of height. The height I felt comfortable with.

I fixed them all to 70cm and climbed back on.

First I had to warm him up. I walked him and trotted him around the ring.

I started to canter with him, soon clearing a few jumps.

Once Karma had made a couple of clear rounds I brought him back to a walk and I stroked his neck.

"Wow, you two make a really good team" I heard a familiar, deep voice say and I looked up and saw Alex watching us.

"Thank you" I smile and walk to where he was standing on the other side of the fence.

"I've actually fallen for him" I giggle and stroke Karmas neck some more, making his ears prick up.

"You both look great together. You definitely look good on him" He says and I blush, ignoring how wrong that sounds.

"Thank you" I smile and he smiles as well.

"How about we go for a ride?" Alex asks and I feel my cheeks start to heat up.

Does he want to go on a ride? With me?

"Yeah, I'd love to. When?" I ask and he strokes Karma's face.

"Tomorrow morning. Ten 'o clock?" He asks and I nod.

"Sounds good. What are we going to be doing?" I ask and he smirks.

"Mmm my surprise" He winks off and I giggle.

"Sure. I'll maybe be there" I smirk, and turn Karma off to walk to the barn. Alex walks next to me and I climb off of Karma. Alex was standing right next to me. He was so much taller than me and I was like a midget.

I took the saddle off, putting it back on the stand, putting a halter on him, and tying him up.

"Have you ever thought of showing him?" Alex asks and I shake my head, putting food in a black bucket.

"No. He's not my horse. I can't just do that" I say and put the food in front of Karma, watching him lean down and start eating.

"Yes, you can. You two make a great team and have a lot of potential. So much potential I can see you guys going to Nationals easily" He says and I smile, stroking Karmas mane.

"Really?" I ask and he nods.

"Of course, sweetheart. I think both Max and I can agree that we'd love to have you compete with us. I mean, I love the support you always give, but competing against you could easily be funner" He smirks and I giggle, shaking my head.

"As much as I'd love to kick both your asses, I'm not even close to your level," I say and Alex smirks.

"And you can easily get to that level. Karma can easily get you up to that level" He says, his arms crossed. He looked hot as hell. He was in full serious mode.

"I mean I'd have to get help. I've heard of a couple of trainers here" I say and he nods.

"Fantastic. I can't wait" He smiles and I playfully punch his arm

"I'm going to beat your asses" I smirk and he smirks back

"Is that so Cassidy?" He smirks and I nod.

"I like challenges," He says and I smile.

A couple of hours passed and I was sitting in my room on my phone, searching up horse trainers. I looked at a post showing a horse trainer available. With a few couple messages corresponding, we made a plan to meet up tomorrow.
