Paris’s POV
I’m about to walk up my stairs to my apartment and someone reaches for my arm.
“Hey what the??? Oh it’s you? Where have you been?” I asked the guy
He doesn’t say anything he just walks up and doesn’t let me go.
“Okay do you want to come in?” I ask him
I don’t see him move up so I go upstairs and get some food and a blanket for him.
“Here you go. I’ll see you tomorrow?” I ask him.
He nods and walks back out the door and I watch him leave. It’s been a few days I wonder where he has gone?
Crap!!!!!! I hear my alarm go off and check the time. Why did I sleep in why??? I jump off my bed and throw my uniform on while I grab some food to eat on my way out. Where is he, where is he, where is he?
I don’t see him so I leave food on the bottom of my stairs and run to the bus stop. Man, I'm going to be late for school. I jump out of the bus and power walk to the school. Phew I made it!
As I’m about to walk to one of my classes someone trips me and I spill my book and binder on the floor and of course all my papers fly out.
“Seriously Paris! Why do you always run into my way?” Bethany asks.
I just drop down and try to grab my stuff and leave as quick as possible.
“Paris do you not have anything to clean your ears? Did you hear what I said?” She asks me again
“I didn’t mean to run into you, I was rushing to make the first period.” I say back to her with my head down wishing a hole was under me to swallow me to hell.
“You know better than to run into me. Make sure this never happens.” She says to me
“Right.” I say to her as I run to class.
Why does she always have to be the one to burst my bubble? I’ve never done anything to her. I always stay away from her. I never used her clothes or any of her stuff when I lived in their house and I never ever ever talk to her. So why does this happen?
“Hey there little one!” Jack says to me
“I’m not little Jack, but hey.” I say back to him.
“Rough morning?” He asks me.
“Late night at work so I missed my alarm a few times.” I say back to him
Meet Jack Elliots. One of our schools football captains, future Firefighter and my boyfriend. Yes, jock my boyfriend? And how? Well a long time ago I was in the library and saw some kid choking on a fricken hot dog. So I ran up to him and “saved his life” and from then on we’ve been the best of friends.
Little by little we got to know each other and that’s when the sparks came and we started dating. We have been dating for about 2 years and plan to move and go to college together once school is out. That’s why I have been working at the diner and he works at a real estate office with his uncle so we can save up for a place to get when we leave for college.
“ I miss that you lived closer to me babe. You live far and we both don’t have cars so it gets harder for us to see each other since we both work.” He says to me.
“I know things will get better. I’ll be on this side of town on the weekend and then we can make more time together. I promise.” I say to him as he kisses me on my check
Jack and I both live complete opposite lives. He’s the jock and I’m the quiet nerd. He never goes to parties because I’m never invited and he always just ends up working if we can’t meet up. Lately the diner has been busy so I haven’t been able to spend any time with him.
Last week I was sick but he was able to stay with me for at least 3 days and that was heaven for us. Now both of us are having a hard time not seeing each other as much anymore and it’s only been 2 days since.
“Are you coming to my game on Friday?” He asks
“You know I can’t. I have to work these extra hours to help pay for rent and to save up for when we leave.” I say to him
“Okay how about the next one?” He asks.
“I’ll make the next one for sure babe.” I say to him.
“Thank you.” He says to me back while kissing my hand.
Class was such a bore. I’m glad that Jack was there to keep me occupied. We walk out to my locker and we split from there as we have different classes after.
“Hey there spawn of Satan” Danny says to me
“Danny you ass you scared me!” I say back to him.
“Hurry up before we are late for class.” I say to him.
Meet Danny the cutest, happiest, flamboyant gay guy ever and also my best friend. We’ve known each other since middle school and have been friends since then. He’s actually a cute rich guy that loves throwing parties and drinking but yet still is my friend.
I met him when I heard people screaming from the theatre room saying some guy was crazy. So I went in there and saw him yelling at the teacher about injustice. Come to find out he was arguing that the little red riding hood shouldn’t always be a red riding hood and this year it should be purple. And guess who was wearing a purple jacket?
From then on we’ve been best friends since he said I was meant to back him up with changing colors. Now little red riding hood is played with a purple jacket instead of red.
He’s welcome.
