Bursting inside my room, I collapse onto my bed before taking my face into my hands, still reeling from the dream and unsure of what to make of it. After taking deep breaths, I get up and walk over to the mirror, where I enter and exit with my true face. Standing in front of the mirror, I stare into my eyes, and I immediately feel my heart calming down. I can never calm down until I’m in my true face. Walking over to my bed again, I sit down, now feeling a pang in my chest thinking of how I left my mate, but I couldn’t stay. I couldn’t look at her without telling her what I saw in my dream.
