When Liam had kissed her the third time, Girl had reciprocated; gradually engaging in the exchange of aura and pleasure. How long had they wanted this moment? How long a time had he envisioned the passage of time in her arms? How long he lingered his thoughts and desired the contours of her soft skin. When he kissed her, engaging her in a battle of twists and turns: he felt was caught in a place between heaven and earth. While he felt her melting into his arms, his chest. He felt her lightening up the darkness that caused his day. "You taste like heaven" he managed to say, "You stopped…" she whispered. "Be mine Girl. You've done too much for me and you deserve a better place than this mansion" Liam felt she wanted to say something but she'd hidden it in his very eyes. "Say something" "I…I am not…aren't you afraid of me?" "How so?" "I could be a monster. A dinosaur. An elf. Would you want an elf for a girlfriend?" Liam felt silent, he was thinking how best to make her see. Wasn't it glaring enough to her? Surely she's more blind than himself. "I don't care whether you're made from the finest stones or from the world's most hated sand… I want you" She felt his hand touch his face. He's been crying. "I don't know what to say" "Say yes" She gave a quick sad laugh. "you'll be fine without me" *** After that eventful breathtaking moment,Liam noticed Girl avoiding him. She was quick to make breakfast and set his bath. She spoke less to him and when she did she was quick to end each conversation. It irked him. What Girl did is what a strict help will do: be professional. Didn't she have the sense to think of his deep love for her? Or was she thinking he kissed her because he wanted to? Certainly he did that many girls that threw themselves around him — but the kiss with Girl was not usual. He thought of it at night and the times when he had to be alone. Girl's kiss became his nightmare; yearning for dream close to be grasped but without the arsenals to grab it. Since Girl distant herself Jonny had become his closest pal. He will run and rest between his legs begging to be played with. Sometimes he wished he could tell Jonny of his present condition, the day he did Jonny had licked his face. *** Liam had hired Dr Olsen, an Ophthalmologist from New York based in Los Angeles, to look critically into his eyes and what could be done to remedy the situation. From the onset of the previous Doc. had maintained that he had a seventy percent of regaining his sight. He was placed under intensive care and medication overseen by the guardian, Girl. "You're doing well" Dr Olsen said that morning, "Your muscles and veins are really relaxed" he felt him massage his eyes, "are they any pain? Do you feel any pain" "Not really?" "I made sure he did all you asked and took his medication?" Girl added. The moment passed in silence except for the beeping sound in the rooms and the turning of papers by Dr Olsen. "Mr Liam" Dr Olsen relaxed, "there's so much of an improvement and thus we need to proceed to having your surgery done. Their odds are still high — seventy percent. The date is the twentieth of next month. That's exactly two weeks from today" "Is there something we need to do, Doctor?" Girl said, "It might be important for you Liam to plan whom you will want to see first when you wake up" An awkward tension rose in the room. Although he hadn't thought Certainly he hoped to see Girl at first glimpse, yet still doubted if he would ever get the opportunity from her. They sat side by side in the taxi without motioning, a long silence stealing and eating Liam's soul. He had a lot to say like starting even before they kissed, the kiss and their present reality. He will have to man up to her when they get home. This time he's going to be in charge like he'd always been before the fall. "Why are you not talking to me Girl?" He asked the moment they dropped off, "What do you mean?" "Since we kissed!" He sounded angry, "I've always known you to be cold but this cold towards me? Why?" She fell silent. Liam tried to make out the direction she stood, "Is loving you a crime?" "Oh stop please. You don't love me. You don't know what love is" "Yes. Maybe yes but I know what I feel around you and you're destroying it" his emotions began burning. "What you feel for me will end the moment you finally open up your eyes" Liam smelt her anger too. He grew quiet. "Then let me be the judge of that," he tried to move towards her but it seemed she moved faster to hold him. "You're about hitting a wall" she whispered, "You care so much about me. I want to do the same for you. Just give me a chance too" Liam could hear her breathing. At this point he wished he could see everything: the lights, her face and her insides. He wanted to know how she felt, what she is hiding and how best to relieve her of it. Although he knew he needed her the most at the moment, "I need you Girl. I need to see and see you. I need know what makes you this beautiful, kind and strong. I need you to be the first thing I see when it's All over and be the first thing I see when I awake each morning" he explained. "You're know you're asking for too much" she chuckled in-between tears, "Yes. I " "I don't know Liam. I really don't" "You're overthinking it. Say yes" "I'll be there," she agreed. Delighted Liam pulled her into his arms, feeling her petite stature, softness of skin and the smell of her hair and breathing. He kissed her down to her neckline playfully then sensually. "I love you and you don't know how much" When he tried lifting her, he remembered he was blind thirty-two year old man and could crash at any time. He laughed at his foolishness. "Take us to the room" he demanded and she did. When he awoke days later with the bandages untied from his eyes and head; he saw the lights streaming into the hospital room. "Hello Liam" a voice spoke out. He recognized the voice. Wait, Rachel? "Where is she?" "She couldn't stay. She said she can't" Rachel touched his chest. "No" he was panicking, "But I'm here Liam for good" she almost promised. "But she said she'll stay" He was a fool for believing a girl that picked him up from a hillside in the face of death could actually be trusted. Now he knew better. "I'm here now Liam. I'm here" Rachel pulled him generously to herself.
