15 THE MEETINGRoger was given the go-ahead to allow Michael to present the drawings to an architect so that a Bill of Quantities could be drawn up for the purpose of pricing. Michael chose one firm of architects that his family's firm had used when they were in business, Roger chose one that he knew locally, and Marduk's team also used their favourite company. Whichever company won the contract was also to provide the overall supervision of The Project, with the proviso that Michael would be on the steering committee as a representative of the developers of the housing scheme.
Michael was taken on as the Project's Concept Designer at an annual salary of £50,000 and so, after completing Dew's visa application form, and talking to her, he arranged a visa application meeting for her in Trend
