14 THE MISSIONMichael was suffering from another hangover when he awoke, but he considered it a small price to pay for the knowledge he had acquired. He knew that he was neither the first nor the only person on Earth to know what he knew, but he also knew that there could not be many who did. Roger had said that many world leaders knew of them. That put him in a very elite bracket, and he immediately chastised himself for being egoistic. It ran contrary to his belief system to be so, but he was nevertheless human. He dragged himself to the bathroom and then down for breakfast before the others had left. “Good morning!” he bade them, then poured a cup of coffee and sat down. “That was a most interesting night last night”. “We could see that you were excited by what we told you”, said Joy.
