MUSA’S POV:
The next day, I called Mr. Sheikh and told him to reconsider the proposal.
“You’ve just had a heart attack and your daughter doesn’t know about it. I know you want the best for her. I can take care of her and keep her happy.”
He agreed to think about it and a while later, I got a call from him but, I already knew the answer.
“I want to come today to finalize everything.” I told him and called Mom after he’d agreed.
“Hello Mom. we need to go to Farah’s house to set the wedding date and everything.” I told her.
“Wait… When did this happen?” She asked me, surprised.
“Mom you forgot, I told you that she will be in my home within a week.” I spoke to her.
“Ok. I need to prepare.” She said and cut the call without waiting for a reply.
Evening came by and we went to their house.
My driver placed the gifts on the table and we sat down after greetings.
“I want to marry her in 2 days.” I said, straight to the point.
“Her exams are close by. We can discuss this after her exams. What’s the hurry?” Her father asked.
“I know you are going to Dubai on 2-month stay for work. It is going to happen anyways, then why not now. I don’t want her to stay alone over here.” I said, sternly.
He sighed and said that he will be asking Farah.
“Where is Farah? I want to see her.” Mom asked as the maid (Amna) was serving the refreshments.
“She doesn’t know about this visit. Amna, go get her to come down.” Mr. Sheikh told the maid.
FARAH’S POV:
I was taking a nap around evening when the door was knocked and Amna entered. She came in to tell me that Dad was calling me to meet someone. Although I didn’t want to, I got up and went to the washroom, only to see my puffy red eyes caused by continuous crying.
I sighed, washed my face and changed into a maroon sweater, along with black jeans. Doing so, I headed downstairs.
As I entered the living room, I saw Dad, Mr. Heartless and his mother. I was so shocked that I’d stopped walking.
“Come here Farah.” The woman said and I quickly covered up my shocked expressions.
I put my head down, said my greetings and walked to her.
“I am Musa’s mother. You can call me Mom as you are going to be my daughter-in-law.” She spoke and I nodded.
Dad spoke up,”Princess, they want the wedding in 2 days. Are you okay with that?”
“As you wish, Dad.” I said but was screaming a NO on the inside. I don’t want to marry him in 2 days, or even ever.
They started discussing marriage preparations. The nikah would be a simple one with only family attending whereas, the reception would be quite big.
After sometime, they left and I went to my room where the tears started flowing again.
MUSA’S POV:
Farah looked shocked seeing us in her living room. Her eyes were red and puffy and the very sight broke my heart and made me restless. We planned our marriage and left.
The next day, I called Ayesha and told her to come to my wedding, Mom had already told her about my interest in Farah. I also sent jewellery, among other things, to Farah.
The day after, I had a hard time hiding my excitement. Ayesha had also arrived when I went down for breakfast and greeted everyone. Soon, it was time to get ready for the nikah.
I wore a simple white salwar kameez and left with Mom, Ayesha and some close friends. I missed my father a lot that day, he’d died when I was 20.
We reached our destination and the nikah was conducted and it was finally time to meet my new official bride. I went to our room where she was sitting with some other women who left when I entered, leaving my bride and I alone.
