Club dancer

KRIZZIA's POV I just got done changing my clothes right after my last dance at the stage was done, "Krizzia, are you available to talk with?" When Sir Matt came in. He's the secretary of Mr. Vincent, the owner of "The Baaar" in where I am working today. I was erasing my make up when he asked me. I stopped to face him and also to have a proper conversation with him. Actually, his presence surprised me. He's rare to find at his boss' bar because he's hands-on at Sir Vincent and Sir Ace's other businesses. "Sure. If you may, sir." He just nods at me, "It's your off time now, I'll just wait for you outside." I refrain from peeling my make up off of my face, so I could leave and go home too. It's getting late, and I bet it's already midnight. Mama and Papa might worry about me again, for going home late. Fortunately, I don't have any idea why Sir Matt wants to talk to me. But I just hope that it's not horrible news. I can't lose this job. This is important to me, even if the job was risky for me. Back when I was still new at this kind of job, I thought I couldn't do it. I was hesitant and afraid to wear some piece of clothes, with my skin in full show. This is the job that I fear the most. I know that I love bar hopping before too, but never did I think about myself entering such a job like this. I don't show my skin to the public, but now… I did. For a reason that I cannot dispose of. It was because of mama. She's sick. No matter how risky the job was for my pride and ego, I swallowed it. Just for mama to be saved. When done, I took my bag and my jacket with me before going out of the dressing room. Sir Matt took me to the nearby twenty-four hours café. In Starbucks. "Sorry for asking you out this late, Kriz. I hope you don't mind." He stated as he dragged back a chair for me to sit. "I don't mind, Sir. Besides it's also my off-time." I don't feel nervous, and I'm relaxed. Meaning, there will be no bad news today. I believe in my guts for it always give me hints of everything I will encounter. If something bad happens to me, I feel nervous even though I did not witness the incident or find out the words that will make me feel bad. It's amazing, my guts never failed me to tell everything in advance! Sir Matt ordered coffee for us. Being alone with him is awkward, but looking at him is so relaxed. I felt relaxed too. There's nothing I should worry about. He meant no harm. Other than that, he's handsome and trustworthy... I guess? "Thank you. Let's wait for the coffee I ordered first." I just nod and glance at the counter. After that, I tilted my head to see the scene outside. The café is just beside the sidewalks, and it's easy to find. Nearby the national road. And because it's already midnight, I only saw a few cars passing by. The place is also peaceful and silent. "Here's your order sir and ma'am." The waitress had arrived with Sir Matt's order. The lady looked at me, the kind of look from her eyes was like observing me from face to toe. I did not avoid gazes at her, waiting for her to say something after towering me by her observant gazes. "You're beautiful, Ma'am." She complimented. I smiled. "Thank you. You are too." We both smiled at each other, right before she excused herself from us. I glance at Sir Matt who's waiting for me to be available to converse again. "What is it that you want us to discuss, sir?" "Yeah, right…" He heaved a deep sigh, first, "There will be an exclusive event to be done at the bar by Saturday, and you happened to be one of the greatest performers on stage, I just want to ask if you're interested in accepting the offer?" My jaw dropped as my heart beats faster because of the excitement I had felt. My eyes twinkle in sheer happiness, as my cheeks rose to a simple blush. "Oh my, is this a promotion sir?" He shrugged. "Well, I call it an opportunity. So, are you going to take it?" I don't know how many times I nod my head at him, and I don't care about it. I'm just happy. This is what I am waiting for! This is a jackpot for me! OMG, I'm going to perform an exclusive event! "Of course! I will accept it!" Sir Matt then sipped his remaining coffee, "Then it's settled now. Good luck and will see you on Saturday Kriz." After drinking his coffee, he stood up. He was about to leave too, when… "By the way, you can take the remaining weekdays as you're off, you are free to rest and practice for the preparation." My mouth formed into an 'O', "Really? I mean, how about my salary, sir? Is it still counted even if I'm not around?" "Yes, it will." OMG! I wanna scream, jump and dance here and then! But I'm just holding. Goodness, I'm so happy. I did not know that this news will rock my night! I couldn't wait! This is what I've been praying for. A promotion to come! I know that my job isn't like the ordinary, but I just couldn't help it. When that day comes, I will surely wreck the night of these audiences. I will make them give me many tips! I consume the remaining coffee I have, and leave afterwards. I was so happy and feeling so good while tracking the sidewalk towards the waiting shed. But the scene flipped so fast that I couldn't remember the details. The car bumped me right before I could notice it. Then everything turned dark. Hunt's POV I am here sitting by the bench outside of the emergency room, while waiting for the doctor to come out. It's been twenty minutes since the time that we admitted her, but 'till now… No news. "Do you think the lady will survive?" I asked Hellion. Hellion was standing beside me, "She will sir. The damage she had from the car won't kill her just yet. Maybe she was just shocked or her head was slammed by the surface because of the impact she experienced from the car." His answer somehow gives me relief. "Why do you say so?" I asked again. "I've been in her shoes, and I've been in the worst situation that she experienced today. So, I know that she'll survive." I crossed my arms as well as I crossed my legs to relax. Why do I involve myself in this kind of situation anyway? "Coffee?" But then a styrofoam cup caught my attention. "It's clean." It was my employee who offered me that drink. In order not to disappoint her, I accepted her offer. "So, any news from your patient sir?" She sat by the bench one chair distant from the chair I used. I shrugged. "Still waiting for the damn news." Then I sipped the coffee she gave. "How about yours?" I saw her glanced at me, "He just wheeled into his room." My brow arched. "Then why are you here?" I don't mean to be rude, because I'm always this rude. I don't adjust, I made others adjust for me. "Just passing by, to give you coffee for you to help your eyes to stay awake. You looked sleepy tho." She stood up and waved at me. "That's all I can say, jani!" 'Jani' means, 'Later/bye' in Japanese. Was that girl a Japanese person? I don't like her too tho. She's rude and I'm rude too. We will not fit. Right after she left, the emergency room's door flew open. I stood up immediately as the girl I admitted earlier was wheeled out from the E.R "How's she?" I asked, as I walked together with the bed. "She's okay now, sir. She'll wake up anytime too." That made me sigh in relief. Thank god, the girl is safe. I turned to look at the girl who slept peacefully on the bed. 'What a pity lady you are' I said in the back of my mind. She's pretty, looking innocent. Her skin looks pale as well as her pale pinky lips. She lies there peacefully. Luckily, we are there at that time. If not, I can't imagine this girl be rescued the way we admit her quick. She might die. Sooner, the lady was transferred to the room I booked. She's still asleep, and Hellion was out to grab us some food. However, I waited for two consecutive hours and it was already morning... the girl is still asleep. I stood up and turned to see Hellion. "Let's go." I said, as I glance at the girl one more time before leaving. It was not my intention to leave while she was still asleep. Fortunately, I have some important events to attend later. I have no rest and I lack sleep since I came there. After all, women are not my business anymore. As long as I know that she's fine. It's okay to me. I paid the hospital bills for her, I just hope it'll be enough than waiting for her to wake up. "Are you sure about leaving her here alone, Sir?" Hellion asked. "We had arranged everything for her. She can handle herself there." Besides, it was her fault for going home late. Tsk!
