Kavos arrived in Karhu as we finished up breakfast. We sat with him for hours, in which Orsa explained his stewardship. I liked him immediately. He was pragmatic and wise, and I could tell in the way that he looked at Orsa that he cared for her deeply.
“When should we expect your coronation?” he asked.
Orsa stilled for a moment.
“First we will track Skol down. He is headed in the direction of Varun, King Armand has been made aware and his scouts are keeping watch.Then I will return to Zamee, and after that I will come back to Karhu.”
He nodded his understanding.
“And when do you leave for Varun?” he asked.
“Today,” Kai said. “The sooner we leave, the better chance we have of catching up to Skol.”
