Ch. 15 Tristan Flashback “Elizabeth hurry! I heard him crying!” I shouted. My dog had gotten away from us and we couldn’t find him anywhere. “Tristan your mom is calling for us!” She countered. “No! You don’t understand he’s hurt I can tell!” I told her hoping she would follow. I heard my dogs whimper once more and took off running. “Tristan! Wait up!” I heard her call behind me. I made my way to where the sounds were coming from and found my dog at the bottom of a hill and could see he wasn’t moving. I made my way to him and saw his white fur covered in blood. I started to cry knowing he would die here. “Oh Tristan!” Elizabeth said rushing to my side. “Here let me see.” She said taking him from me. She closed her eyes and stroked his little head. I could see his little eyes close and then his wounds started healing faster than I had ever seen. After a moment the dog wiggled out of her arms and started wagging its tale at her. He jumped up in her lap and was licking her face all over. “Elizabeth!” My mother said coming out of nowhere. She looked so mad at us. “Elizabeth, what did you do?!” She asked taking Elizabeth’s arms and pulling her up “He was hurt…” Elizabeth said softly. “You can never do that again! Do you hear me? Elizabeth people will think this is witchcraft, they will try to kill you. Promise me you won’t ever do that again. Promise me!” She said frantically. “I..I promise.” Elizabeth stammered. “I’m sorry if I scared you child, but you know the stories about witches. This power that you have is a gift but people will think it’s witchcraft.” My mother told her and gave her a hug. “Tristan, you can’t tell anyone of what happened to your dog. You could put Elizabeth in great danger if you do. Promise me you won’t tell anyone, and you won’t let her do it again.” My mother said turning her frantic gaze at me. “Yes mama, I promise.” I was brought back from my memory of when we had been young kids no more than 10 as my mother spoke. “Listen to me, you two can’t tell anyone of what Elizabeth did for you. People will think this is the work of a witch and call to have her hanged. Do you understand me?” My mother said to them. My sister had been almost killed by those brutes, anger bubbled back up within me. I wish I had dragged them back here and gave them what they deserved. “I don’t understand… how did she do that?” Sarah said confused. “It doesn’t matter Sarah, no one can know!” My mother warned. “You have my word. Nothing happened.” Thomas said with determination. “Kenna knows though, she was there with us. I think her ladies may already know, but they are loyal to her.” Thomas informed. “Go to Kenna, make sure she knows to keep quite.” My mother instructed. “Sarah not a word ok?” “Yes mama.” Sarah said and the looked at me confused. “You knew about what she could do?” “Yes.” “Tristan, if she healed both of them and was hurt as well she may not be as ok as Allison thinks she is.” My mother said concerned. I gave a frustrated growl, what the hell was I supposed to do? I felt powerless. “Just stay with her.” My mother said placing her hand on my shoulder. “I think it will bring you both comfort.” I looked at my sister making sure she was ok and got up leaving to Elizabeth’s room once more. I found Justin in the room reading, and Elizabeth still on the bed. She didn’t look as peaceful as she had been before. Her eyes were fluttering under her eyelids and her arms were slightly twitching. “I think she may be having a nightmare.” Justin said knowing what I was thinking. She’s been like that since Jacob left. “He finally decided to leave?” I asked quietly. “More like dragged away, he received a call from his brother, and left.” Justin informed. “Vivian keeps asking for you.” “Tell her I am working with the pack. I want to be here.” I said looking at Elizabeth. “Has everyone left?” “Not yet they are starting to. Kenna did an amazing job managing the whole situation. She charmed everyone into calming down and getting the party going. She really took charge and has been escorting the guest that have left out.” “Good, I’m glad Thomas found such a capable mate. Why don’t you go help them?” “You got it.” With that he was off to help the others. I moved to sit next to Elizabeth again, and took her hand in mind. Her hand was so cold against my warm one. I felt a spark where my hand touched hers. Her breathing started to even out once more I could see her pretty features relax. I took in her sweet scent unable to get enough of it. I resisted the urge of taking her in my arms not wanting to hurt her. I stayed with her just watching her sleep so peacefully, hoping that she would wake up soon and tell me that she was ok. A while later my mother came into the room, and placed her hand on my shoulder. “What is happening to you my sweet boy?” she asked me. “I don’t know mom. I feel like I am losing my mind.” I confessed not wanting to lie anymore. My mother knew me she knew that something was going on. “Is it possible that maybe your mate is not Vivian?” She asked softly. “If only that were it mom. Vivian feels so strongly about me. It would crush her to know.” I said, not able to bring myself to actually confessing out loud what I was feeling. My mother sighed she knew it was true. She was often the one that Vivian spent her time gushing about me with. “You can’t keep them like this. You have to choose.” “Elizabeth told me she wanted to leave before all this happened. I told her she couldn’t.” I hoped this would tell her that I was not ready to make the decision yet. “You can’t keep her here forever Tristan. It’s not fair to her and it’s not fair to Vivian.” “Mom I can’t let her go.” “Then I think you have your answer.” I looked up at my mother, who had a knowing look. “Will you stay with her?” “Of course, darling.” I go up and took off towards my room where Vivian had insisted on sleeping in. I got up to my room and was surprised to see candles all around the room. “Vivian?” I called out and a sweet scent filled the air as she came out of the bathroom. Her scent was so intoxicating how had I never noticed before. “Vivian?” She made her way over to me a gave me a passionate kiss. My primal instincts took over and I started kissing her back. My hands were moving all around her body, I couldn’t get enough of her. Her body was an all-consuming thing, and soon she was on top of me. I grabbed at her wherever I could, bringing her closer to me and kissing her chest. Her n*****s harden under my lips and she then guided me up to her neck, right to the spot where she was to be marked. As she did this she took my shaft in her hands and plunged it into herself. I lost control at that point as she grinded on top of me. I kissed her fervently, it felt like my lips were glued to her body. She once again guided me up to her marking spot. I could feel the urge to mark her now, as I exploded within her. She pulled back with a big smile and crashed her lips into mine. She again offered her neck, but something felt wrong. Like I had just done something horrible and I had no desire to mark her. I was left breathless as was she and when she finally moved off me. I felt a sickening feeling in my stomach, but I suddenly felt so tired, and my body felt heavy like lead against my soft bed. I could feel my eye lids getting heavy and it took all strength to try and keep them open. The next morning, I woke up to the sun shinning on my face, my head was throbbing, and my body felt heavy. My mouth was dry, and I reached for the water on my nightstand. “Good morning love.” Vivian said a little too loud. “Here you go. I can’t believe what a crazy night we had but thank you for making it so much better.”  She said handing me the glass of water and giving me a kiss. Oh, so that had happened then, it almost seemed like a dream. I had been determined to come and tell her that I was falling in love with Elizabeth or rather still in love with her, and instead we had slept together. Elizabeth! I was supposed to go back to be with her but instead I had stayed here all night. “What time is it?” “Almost noon. I wanted to let you get some rest after last night you had us going for 4 rounds straight.” She said with a blush. What? I didn’t remember any of that. Ugh I groaned out loud. I needed to get up and see how Elizabeth was doing. “Vivian I…” “Oh you don’t need to say anything, I know how you feel.” She said with a smile, and lovingly put her hand over her marking spot. I reached for hand moving it away from her. No, no, no, I didn’t. I couldn’t have. I had marked her.
