Chapter 22: Bindings

Many Years Later

Things have been going great in Volterra, we have prospered and were way ahead of our time with technology, the Elves worked with us on most inventions and the wolves were civilized along with other shifters. I was invited to Faeora to help bind the powers of the Fae twins, their mother knew about their powerful entities, and it would seem I had to get some input from Samuel on this before I could bind them so they wouldn't hurt themselves. Also, King Ivar recently had his son Prince Aidan along with their Beta, Gamma, and Delta, all boys and the Kingdom celebrated. Ivar eventually apologized to me about our mutual misunderstanding and signed over our treaty, my daughter had moved there with her mate, she met him a few years back and was currently pregnant with her first pup, I was going to be grandmother and I was excited.

Ivar knew she was a Princess and vowed to keep it a secret from other wolves as I had asked him to protect her secrets so people won't use her for power. I also bound her powers, living as a low-level witch because she asked me to so she wouldn't mess up while living among the wolves, however, if she chooses to move back here, her magic will return. Dragu was running things back in Volterra while I extended my time among the Fae to learn a little more about them since they had improved their security and included the Pixies and Trolls as part of their territory. I met up with King Pele who wanted me to improve security around his territory and I obliged, later that night, I was a guest in the Palace when I got a vision, something I usually don't have, but it was about the Supremes returning. I was shocked and the next day, I headed home to do a little research because if this is true, we need to prepare.

I opened a portal to Dragu's class and waited until he was done, a lot of students passed through here and a lot of small covens emerged that we had to start a registry. The registry keeps track of every single witch and warlock in Volterra and beyond, this is our way of monitoring the good witches and bad ones. I wanted to live in harmony with everyone but some people were born evil, wanting more and more power where the innocent get hurt and the powerful strive without pushback. Rogue territory was slightly expanding as well but they mostly kept to themselves since the civil war but rumors are starting to spread that the Rogue King wants Ivar's territory. After class, I told Dragu about my vision and he smiled saying, "You are beginning to tap into my power," as he replaced a kiss on my lips, I moaned and looked into his eyes, I love this man so much, nothing I had before can compare to the love we share.

Many years passed, and I hadn't had a vision since then, my granddaughter Addison, joined the magic school, she was fresh-faced and loved interacting with everyone. She had a strong bond with her grandfather just like her mother and I didn't mind my girls being daddy's girls because I was a daddy's girl but in a different way. Lenora became Addison's tutor and she ended up staying here for a long time. She left her close friends behind in Dartmouth Kingdom so she could perfect her craft, I was busy and I taught her a few things, we hung out a lot and I made sure she enjoyed Volterra before she chose to go back and be with her parents. She had a wolf and she scared some of the witches when she ran around the area but they knew she was in Volterra. She started dating Hilary's son and I figured they would mate but they broke up when she decided to go home.

Dragu made sure to tell me her destiny was in Dartmouth and I believed him, she was going to be someone special. The civil war happened just before Addison was to head home and was advised to stay back, a few of my men joined the war but it was a blood bath, and King Ivar, Beta Davos, Gamma Rickon, and Delta Thorin fell. Aidan automatically became King and we won the battle, I attended their funeral along with King Lucian, the Fae Twins' father, and King Elijah. Addison returned to court and met up with her parents. I stayed for Aidan's coronation and improved the magic along their borders. I secretly met up with my daughter and her mate, I ran into the newly crowned Beta, Roman, and he gave off a creepy vibe but he was Aidian's best friend and everyone trusted him. I gave my blessing to Aidan and his hierarchy, singing over the treaty before I headed back to Volterra.

Three Years Later

Aidan and his bestfriends were assassinated by that traitor King Roman, things have been off balance since then, and we were not pleased with the new leadership. Marion was scared when it happened because our daughter and granddaughter were caught up in the middle of the coup when it happened. Ashlyn however delivered a message that she was safe and not to interfere, it was too dangerous, and didn't want us to cause another war because of the treaty. She let us know that Addison mated Elder Erik Belmont, I met him a while back and I didn't like him but no one knows we are her grandparents and we left it that way for her safety, I placed a protection spell on them but it won't do much good if they don't venture to Volterra soon. Marion summoned King Caspian and Samuel to Volterra a while back before the coup happened and if my vision was correct, Aidan, Ty, and Draxon are our future leaders.

Addison needed ingredients to create a special spell conjured by the moon goddess to pull it off, my blood was included, I guess they will be able to control us at will if they need to. I went to my quarters and saw Marion reading an old spellbook, I took it out of her hands and said, "We need to talk," but she kissed me instead. She moaned and said, "Not tonight," I have been trying to tell her about our daughter but we still have plenty more years with her so I shut up and let my wife ride my c**k until the morning sun rose. The next morning, I felt great, Marion was looking at me and said, "You have been hiding something from me, what is it?" I knew I had to tell her about the vision so I pulled her to rest her head on my chest, played with her hair, and said, "I don't see much of a future for Ashlyn," and she jumped up asking in panic, "What do you mean?"

I explained I saw her death but it could have been in the coup that she survived so her future probably changed unless I get another vision telling me otherwise. Our daughter is safe and so is Addison, I am sure of it, Marion hugged me and hung on to every word I said and I prayed to the moon goddess I was right, we can't lose our daughter. I whispered in her ear, "We can try for more kids, and she punched my stomach saying, "Absolutely not," and got out of bed. I saw her sway her hips and look at me seductively, I took that as a sign, jumped out of bed, and chased her to the bathroom where we made love again before starting our day. I wasn't teaching today as I need to go and have some alone time to see if any vision about my family comes to me.

A few days ago, I was to attend Elijah's dinner to celebrate his mating with his second mate completing his triad, I had figured out Prince Piot was his brother when I saw it in a vision but I kept it to myself. It was not my place to judge because I didn't know the situation between his mother and father. Marion attended without me and stayed for a few days, she would be back tomorrow, Prince Philip decided with Prince Luc that we were going out for the night. Phillip married and mated Lenora a few years ago and have a teenage son together, they were so in love, that it hurt but I was the same. Luc became a grandfather for a second time last year just before the coup and he loved it.

We ended up at this pub where I ran into Alma and a few of her coven mates, she came over to my table and I looked at her finding conversation. She didn't come on to me as she had mated a few years ago, so I heard, I never kept in touch with students after they passed through the Magic School. As the night went on, we got pretty wasted and we sang songs going back home, I woke up the next morning in a guest room not even remembering how I got there. I got up and walked down the hall when I saw Luc with a magic potion to help with hangovers and he smiled saying, "I see you're finally awake, Your Majesty," handing me the cup. I drank saying, "Last night was wild, please don't tell, Marion" and we laughed as he gestured zipping his lips closed until I turned around and saw Alma coming out of the room I had spent the night in, fixing her hair and I froze.
