Chapter 30: A Night to Remember

I couldn't believe what I was seeing after being notified by Lascelles about where the King was, he was late for lunch so something was up. I felt my barrier breached by something unfamiliar and knew to tap into where my husband would be and open a portal, I caught him in the act with Alama, and as furious as I was, my heart was breaking. I turned around and headed out of there, Dru was behind me yelling, "Marion, stop, please Marion, let me explain." I turned around and saw that this shirt was loose, he was cheating on me and I started to cry because I believed him, believed in him, that he was different. I didn't want to hear him so I summoned Samuel walking away and a portal opened and closed quickly before Dru could cross over. Samuel hugged me as I broke down crying, Dru was angry, I could tell it because he didn't trust Samuel alone with me. Samuel was in the gym, wore gym wear, and told me to join him and burn off steam.
I was having fun with Samuel, I needed the workout and he was trying to calm me down, I knew he had talked to Dru because he seemed to simmer his anger, I could feel it. Samuel told me to take a break with him and sat on the bench together when he said, "You should hear him out, Marion," I said, "So you are his advocate now," he smiled saying, "We don't see eye to eye but he loves you and you guys love each other, I am telling you, he would never cheat on you, so talk to him." I knew Samuel was right but Alma's breast was exposed, they were touching each other and I closed my eyes trying to erase the vision. Alma always wanted Dru but I needed to trust my husband and decided to go home. I walked down the corridor leading to my quarters, it was quiet and I knew Dru was probably in the bedroom waiting on me, and I opened the door. He was sitting on the bed reading on his tablet, his hair was in a man's bun and he looked at me and smiled.
He rested it down and said, "Marion, I didn't cheat on you, I know it looks bad from that angle but I can show you what happened if you let me." I didn't care because I trusted him, I know I had trust issues from when I was mated to Willix, and I needed to trust Dru more. I ran towards him, hugged him, and he whispered, "I love you, always remember that," I closed my eyes as he showed me everything that went down. I was relieved that he didn't sleep with Alma ever and they were just friends, she wanted help but we had a bigger issue, that was a ghoul and they went after her, someone set him on her and we needed to find out who. He kissed my lips before telling me, "Go shower, my love," I smiled hitting his chest before getting up and heading to the bathroom. I felt embarrassed for thinking my husband would cheat on me, that man loved the ground I walked on, I needed to treat him better, be better and my whole mood had changed.

Dru and I decided to go out tonight since we hadn't done it in a long time, Lexi invited us to her mate's club and although it was in Roman's territory, we still decided to go. Aidan's and Michelle's wedding and Luna's Ceremony were in a few days and although I wasn't attending, I sent my best wishes and hope everything goes well. I had planned to stay in Volterra to avoid Roman and his lackeys until Aidan was back on the throne. I knew he was part of my daughter's demise and hopefully, I will know the truth one day, I walked down to the main hall where Dru was waiting on me. He was dressed in a nice button-down navy blue shirt with white close-fitting jeans and shoes. He had on his necklace that I gave him showing a little chest and tattoo, and he smelled amazing, I walked up to him as he held out his hand to me and opened a portal as I kissed him.
Dru smiled at me and turned me around to admire my outfit, I was wearing a navy blue sparkling off-shoulder knee-length dress with my very comfy stiletto-six-inch heels and my husband still towered over me. My hair was curled and let down with light natural makeup and I looked at Nola who was smiling before we stepped through the portal and was in the car park. We walked over to the entrance of the clubestaurant, gave our names, and were let into the VIP section to have our meal. Prince Kyan came to us after we had ordered our dinner and thanked us for coming here since Lexi thinks highly of us. We were in the middle of dinner when I felt an aura and saw King Roman with Erik and his Beta, Axel. Dru didn't look at them because, to him, Erik was dead, non-existent as he saw that his death was near and we were waiting for it to happen.
Roman spotted us and walked over while Axel went through the door leading to the club with Erik who smiled at me and it disgusted me. I don't know what he had up his sleeve but we were on alert, he said, "Marion, Dragu, how nice of it for me to run into you?" Dru looked at him and said, "You're interrupting my date with my wife, and it's Your Majesty unless you expect the same courtesy from us." Roman sat down and said, "Of course, you can call me, Roman," he looked at me and said, "Marion, I have been calling your office a long time now so we can work together. Your power and your willingness to keep your people in line is a trait I admire." Dru linked me, "Hear him out, love but he can do it another time, tonight belongs to us." I looked at Roman and said, "I will let my secretary make an appointment, now leave us," as I turned to my husband as he drank his wine. Roman hated being dismissed but he said nothing and walked away.

After Roman left us, I held my wife's hand and led her over to the club, she was a looker and everyone stared at her, I guess they felt her power so she wielded it. I had planned to ravish her beautiful body tonight when we went home, I had some making up to do for how I hurt her when she saw me with Alma. I also had a surprise for her when she got back, the club was full tonight, I saw Erik by the bar drinking, and I walked to the dance floor, I pulled Marion to me as we both started dancing, Goddess, she was sexy and they way she swayed to music had me on edge. This beautiful woman was mine and the possessive side of me was coming out, I felt other men looking at her with their lustful eyes but because of the power rolling off me, they kept their distance. The music slowed down and I pulled her into a slow dance and I kissed her when I heard a voice say, "Can I cut in?" I looked around to see, Roman, Marion said, "It's fine," I backed away and headed to the bar, I sat next to Erik and he looked at me.
I held back my resentment for this man as he offered to buy me a drink and I accepted, he was dying sooner than he thought, I would not be there but I would feel better when he did. He told me that he was planning on taking my grandaughter on a vacation for her upcoming birthday and I smiled and asked, "Why are you telling me this?" He said, "I know you don't trust me and I assure you that I love Addison and would do right by her and my daughter," before he drank his shot of tequila. I heard a commotion and saw that Roman was on the ground holding his balls as Marion knee him yelling, "Sorry, Your Majesty, I am such a clumsy lady when I drink," I smiled. I knew better and I walked over there helping Roman up off the floor as Axel rushed over and looked at me like he knew differently. Axel knows better than to approach me or Marion so he help Roman to sit, Marion smiled and linked me, "He grabbed my ass, only you are allowed to do that."
I grabbed her ass, placing a soft kiss on her lips saying, "Ready to go, the night is not over," we looked at Roman as she apologize again, the magic will make his jewels hurt for a while as we both snicker heading to a room to portal home. We ended up in the garden by the gazebo, it was lit and I looked into my wife's eyes, she was my everything and I kissed her again before we decided to take a walk. She took her heels off and I placed sneakers on her feet magically and headed down to the river. We sat and hugged each other watching the moonlight, we kissed as we ended up in the bedroom where she saw the rose petals on the bed shaped like a heart with a box and note in the center of it. She read the note as I watched her being all happy, she opened the box to see a ring and screamed, not any ring but my grandmother's ring. She hugged me and took the ring as my apology, a statement of love for her, we both removed our clothes looking at each other lustfully. I poured more wine for us, and we ended up making love until we were too exhausted to move, it was a night to remember.
