"Can you lie back for me?" I heard Ivory and I nodded before doing just that. I laid still, closed my eyes and waited for something, anything. "You were gone for five days?" I heard her ask and I heard someone else answer for me. "There is a huge black spot in your mind, like there is still a spell working on your mind."

"Like it's actively keeping me from remembering even now?" I asked and she nodded slowly and seemed miffed and then she sighed and let her eyes shut. "Are you going into your library thing?" I asked softly and she peeked open an eye and nodded.

"She's got a library in her head?" I heard Jr ask before someone made him grunt.

"Witch of life, love and knowledge, she knows what the Great Luna knows." I heard Tino tell them from behind me. "It was a little hard for me to wrap my head around, but it works wonders." I heard the pride in his voice and I knew he was happy he had a mate that was so much like him when it came to helping others.

"I might have to sleep on this Jesse, this is hard magic, old magic." She told me and I nodded before standing up. "Come back tomorrow, we have a few wolves coming in for child check ups and all that but we shouldn't be too busy." She told me and I nodded. I fixed my hair and we moved to the front of the offices when we heard someone asking for me by name. I stilled at the voice and I heard someone announce that he was ok.

"Jesse." I looked up at Brian, who was just waiting there as he looked at me. I gave him a bright smile, hoping he came here just to see me again, and so soon.

"Hello again." I nodded and moved closer slowly. Was it wrong I wanted to hug him? To pull him into my arms and act like I was a lost man that had been found now that he was here again?

"Someone heard through a friend that they were looking for you." He told me and I paused. Who was looking for me? "I still don't know who they really are, I heard it from five different people, the notes in the questions had changed and so had the names. But someone was looking for you when you escaped and left Nola."He told me and I hit a wall when thinking about who would hear and know about me. I was guessing that guy I almost maimed for touching me and offering himself to me after talking about servicing Brian could have blabbed. But who else would really know me when I haven't been there in years.

"What names did you hear?" I asked him and he looked around at all of us, my boys. Immie, Tino and even Ryan McCoy.

"Uh... There was a Jaime, he didn't come with a last name. Patrick O'Donnell, Micheal Pias, Jamie Daniels, and one more by the name of Edgar Ramos."

"Edgar?" I asked, to be sure, and I heard the gasps from behind me. The other names meant nothing to me, but Edgar's did. He was dead. He couldn't be alive and asking about me. I heard his screams, the pleas, the begging. I saw the dust pile the next morning when I was allowed to leave.

"You know that name?" He asked me and I saw his hands tighten and I nodded slowly.

"He's dead." Jr. spoke for me and I nodded my head and felt glued to my spot. I never saw him after that, but it was only shortly after that the Coven leader was dead.

"How long had it been? From his death to Eric's?" I asked suddenly and turned to my son, who looked suspicious now.

"Two weeks." He told me and I nodded slowly. "Father, Eric dealt his death, there was no possible way-"

"He always told me he knew a grand witch who could bring the dead back." I turned, leaving Brian there, with my family, and heading back to see Ivory. I saw her coming my way anyway and I gulped and sucked in a huge breath before asking. "How can a vampire come back to life?" I asked her and she seemed freaked out by the question but she shrugged and seemed to try and focus.

"I would have to be in a quiet room. I can force myself under now, I won't come back without an answer." She told me as I filled her in about what I just heard. She rubbed up and down my arm before she called for her mate and they both headed off home since this was more of an emergency.

"Jesse... honey, let's go home." I heard Immie and felt her rub at my arm but I was worried. I was caught up in the past, seeing Edgar, his eyes smiling at me, his teeth as they bit into my skin, he loved to mark me- I was his and he was mine and we were in love until I pulled away when hearing about his past.

"Father?" I turned my head slowly to see Jr. and Eli watching me and I blinked out of the past until I was back in the clinic fully.

"I know Edgar Ramos, I knew him. He was a hell of a figher- didn't care who it was as long as he got paid-" I nodded and cut McCoy off with a hand in the air. I remembered hearing the tales, the men he loved to rip apart, the women he would bleed dry, all for money.

"Let's get you home my darling." Immie held my arm and she led me out, Brian was welcomed to join us and he rode with me and Imme and Eli. I wasn't driving, but that didn't stop me from watching the roads as if he was just going to appear. When Eli pulled into the driveway of my place, I noticed Alpha Ian and Jack Titan waiting.

"Men." I offered a head nod and looked back to see Brian watching them as if worried they would attack. "This is Brian, he is a friend of mine. He came when he heard talk of someone looking for me down in New Orleans." I told them as we got closer.

"Nice to meet you, we have your scent, we came by to check, Jesse is a friend and any friend of his is welcome on pack lands. If any wolf gives you trouble you should just use my name, or Jesse's and they should back off, if not, tell them to bring you to me. I will set them right." Ian held out his hand, no longer the kid taking over the pack when I first met him, he was an old Alpha now, his kids almost preteens, his beard showed white, and his eyes showed his years. "This is my second and brother in law Jack, he is the Beta, ask for him if they don't want to bring you to me."

"I don't plan on staying too long, I have work down in Nola, but I knew that Jesse needed the information." He was still welcomed all the same and he would stay a few days to make sure that nothing was following or after him.

I would hate to see him go again, but he was a free man, tied to no one and I had no claim.

"Let's get inside." Immie suggested and I nodded with her. I heard a hiss as she pushed my back and kept my body close to hers and I looked around before seeing Ryan glaring at her arm on me.

"Honey, it's time to either up your game or take control." I told her in a tone that spoke volumes to her and she looked back and nodded slowly. "Go to him, I will see to our guest." I told her and she left my side after one more nod of reassurance that I would be fine. She reached for his hand and he clasped her arm and tucked it into his elbow and kept his eyes down on her.

That was where she belonged.

"Father, do you want me to show Brian a room?" I heard Eli ask and then someone kicked him making him hiss.

"Father is capable." I heard Jr and I slit my eyes to him to see him smiling at me and nodded slowly. "We shall see you later, we are hungry, are we not Eli?" I saw the pulling motion Jr gave his brother and they were both babbling about feeding and being back later and being careful adan watching each others backs. I was crossing my arms as they got back in the car and waved and they were out of the parking lot before Immie even had a chance to chastise them by not saying bye to her.

"Come on Brian, I will find a room for you." I heard Immie and I heard a hiss right after it.

"Immie, my dear, you chat with your... Ryan, I will see him into a room." I told her since he didn't seem to want to let go of her now that he had moved his hands to her sides and kept her close.

"Ryan is it? Gay, no need to be threatened." Brian pointed at himself and then moved past me and I didn't miss the jaw drop that Immie did before we were out of her eyesight and she started to berate her mate.

"Thank you for coming, I know this was long drive." I told him as we headed up the stairs and I tried to ignore the sassing my wife was giving Ryan.

"When I heard your name in passing, and how someone was looking for you, I wouldn't trust the phones, and i didn't want to risk my own life by sending someone I barely knew."

"It means a lot, I am in your debt, and so is my family." If this was the warning and the name we needed, we would be on our guard.

"The woman, Immie?" He asked and I nodded. "Lovely. Your wife?"

"Yes, she has found her mate and he has insulted her more than once, and she's been seeing to it that he works for her affectoins. very Victorian age of course." I told him and he laughed lightly. "This room, it should do. It's between mine and Jrs. Eli, Ryan, and Immie are on the other side." I pointed to the other side of the stairs and he nodded as he looked around. I looked down, hoping he would make a move so I felt less like an i***t. But then I saw his leg.

"Your... your peg leg is a-"

"Oh, yes. I have this to drive with, it's a lot easier. Less looks when I have to pump gas. In Nola it's a gimmick, the bar being by the sea and all..." He was blushing red as he looked down at the metal leg and I smiled as he seemed not to know what to do now.

"Are you hungry? Or Tired? I can make up the bed now for you if you like?" I offered and he seemed to just stare at me for a moment.

"Food... food sounds good to me. I had jerky and gas station food on the way up." Brian told me, and I nodded slowly.

"Be glad that the man in distress you came to rescue is an amazing cook, what do you fancy?" I asked him and he told me he wasn't picky. "You can choose what you want from the full kitchen, even sit back and relax as I cook for you." I told him and he gave me a small smile and told me that sounded nice.

Looks like while Immie and her man got to iron out their relationship, I could flirt my way into this mans heart. Danger be damned.
