The second the class ended Garry rushed out and as the professor stopped some of us, and I couldn't just run behind him. I now knew something was very wrong now. He never ignored me like this. What had gotten up his ass? Jeremy and I shared the next class but he never showed up, it was his first week of school and he was already missing classes. Was he even alright? Did something happen between Jeremy and Garry? It was something next to impossible, but still a possibility. I didn't see Garry or Jeremy as the lunch rolled around. I was not hungry but worried. Sam was another case, sticking with me like some leech. I was roaming my eyes around the hallway in search of Garry when I bumped into him at the farthest corner. "Garry?" I asked relieved to see him. He had bags under his eyes and looked like s**t. "What's the matter?" I asked almost on the verge of crying my heart out. He looked me dead in the eye before pushing past me. My heart thudded against my ribcage. "Hey wait! Garry?" I ran behind him, trying to reach him in the midst of the pool of students gathered in the corridor. I grabbed his arm and turned him to face me. "What is wrong with you?" The chatters now leveled down to whispers. He jerked his arm away from my hold before pinning me down with a deathly glare. "Stay away from me Valenie!" I stepped back in shock. Never, never I heard him say something in an acidic tone. He was always polite no matter what but at the moment he looked anything but that. "Why? What happened? Did I do something wrong? Why are you ignoring me?" I asked, tears pooling at the side of my eyes. The chatters died down, we were the center of attention yet I did not care. I just cared about my precious friends. "You happened Valenie! You are nothing but a curse. Just because of you Jeremy is in the hospital fighting for his life!" He pushed me away and I staggered back in someone's arms. "Watch out fucker. You wouldn't like messing with her." I heard Sam yelling at him as he stabled me on my feet. The shock wore off and tears slipped the margin of my eyes. My heart almost stopped beating as his words registered in my brain. The crowd dispersed as Sam and some other guys circled me. Just because of you Jeremy is in hospital fighting for his life. Because of me! Hospital. Fighting for his life? What happened? "Valenie you need to come with me. We are leaving for home." He stated as he tried holding my arm but I jerked him away. "No!" I shook my head before sprinting off to where Garry had left from. My lungs burnt as I came to a stop in the almost empty parking lot. I tried to breathe hard but nothing appealed to me. I spotted Garry near his car, leaving, and I followed him. He was about to sit in the driving seat when I shut the car's door. "What the...?" He shouted but then stopped midway as his eyes raked my wet face. He sighed harshly through his mouth before pinching the bridge of his nose. "What do you want?" He asked more composedly. I wiped away my tears before sniffling. "Garry please tell me what happened to Jeremy? I swear I didn't say anything to him or hurt him." Tears again made their way down my eyes but I did not make a move to wipe them. "Your f*****g boyfriend beat the s**t out of him just because he kissed you!" He shouted at me. My eyebrows shot up. "Just because of a f*****g kiss on the cheek your psycho boyfriend almost killed him." He yelled at my face before getting in the car and taking off. Rafe? Then it hit me, when he came home last night his knuckles were bleeding and cut open, it wasn't just regular sessions but he was beating Jeremy just because he kissed me on the cheek That is why he punished me last night. I thought he was f*****g changing for good but I was so f*****g delusional. He will never change. I had my eyes trained on Garry's car drifting away when I heard footsteps behind me. It was Sam. "We are leaving for home" I had classes but first I needed to fix some matters. "Take me to Rafe," I ordered Sam. He looked taken aback by my sudden change of tone but he too worked for Rafe and at that moment I hated every single person who was associated with Rafe in any way. "He is in an important meeting. I just talked to him." Sam informed "I don't f*****g care Sam. Take me to Rafe right now." I shouted, taking out all my anger on that poor guy. "Val—.." He tried again but I cut him off midway. "Sam either you're taking me to him or I am hailing a cab," I stated coldly and he hesitantly nodded and motioned for me to follow him to the car parked nearby. I just hope whatever Garry said was untrue. I didn't know what I was going to do once I reach his office. The car ride was silent. I just prayed Jeremy gets better soon. I even had to visit him. Garry looked like s**t. He truly liked him. And the Garry I knew needed love around him. He was a lost guy and Jeremy just seemed to find him at his worst. Midway through the drive, Sam was about to call Rafe to inform him about our arrival but I threatened him with his job. I wanted to take him by surprise. He was so f*****g dead. He better not play with me this time. I had had enough of his over possessiveness. He needed to learn to control his damn anger. — Hello peeps. if you ever see any of my books being promoted on the dreame app or website please take a screenshot and dm it to me on my i********: impenetrablechaos_ thanks.
