WAHAAJ’S POV: 2 months later I woke up with Abeera sleeping in my arms like a baby, all snuggled into my chest. I kissed her forehead and went along to get ready for my morning jog. When I reached back home, I saw Abeera waking up, looking pale. “Good morning. How is my wife feeling?” I asked her while kissing her hands. I checked her forehead to find her temperature normal. I remembered noticing that for a few days now, Abeera wasn’t having her meals properly. “I am fine, just a bit nauseous.” She said with a pout. I couldn’t help place a peck on the pout. “Rest. I will tell the maid to bring your breakfast up to your room.” I ordered. “No. I can’t rest today. I have an important assignment to do today.” She told me. I pulled her towards the bed and made her lie down in it. “No. You are not going anywhere.” I spoke strictly. I called one of the maids to get food for Abeera and went to shower. When I came out, I saw Abeera lying on the bed with a blanket covering her face. I started combing my hair but stopped when I heard sobbing. I went towards Abeera and sat next to her. “Abbera?” I called. She did not answer but the sobs stopped. “Babe?” I called again and pulled on her blanket. “What happened Abeera?” I asked her, wiping her tears. He cheeks had a red tint due to the crying. “Tell me.” i whispered. “You-you are always ordering me around. You don’t care about my wishes at all.” She hiccuped a lot as she spoke. She also glared at me with red eyes. “Baby, I do care about you and your wishes. I love you Abeera.” I cooed and pulled her into me for a hug. “And about your assignment, I will handle it and you don’t need to worry about it.” I told her and she nodded. I’d just started caressing her hair, when a knock came from the door. “Come in.” I called as I put distance between me and Abeera. The maid came in and put the tray on the table and left when I told her to. I then fed Abeera with my own hands and waited until she fell asleep to leave for work. --------------- When I returned home at evening, I decided to check on Abeera first and found her walking out the washroom, wiping her mouth with a towel. “What happened?” I asked her, making her sit. “I puked…” She trailed off and I stood up immediately. “Ali…..” She started to protest but I ignored her. I called the doctor and asked her to come as soon as possible. “Lay down. The doctor is coming. You should’ve told me earlier that you were not feeling well.” I spoke to her. The doctor arrived to check up on Abeera and I was told to go out and I did so reluctantly. Sigh. It was for Abeera. The doctor came out of the room and informed me that Abeera was pregnant. I was shocked but was insanely happy. It explained her morning sickness and tears. I know it was going to be difficult to handle, but I was more than ready. My little wife was going to give me a baby soon and there was nothing else I could wish for. Abeera was also very happy. She loves kids and now she was going to have her own. Mom was also very excited to have a grandbaby.
