ABEERA’S POV:
It’s been a week since I’ve joined my university. I meet up with Saira di everyday. I went to my mom’s place on the weekend for a few hours and unfortunately, Mr. Monster went with me.
WAHAAJ’S POV:
Today, I felt restless all day. I’d decided to pick up Abeera from university myself and was standing on the front gate with my back leaning on my car. I saw Abeera coming out from under where construction was going on. The first ever time I felt fear was when I saw some heavy steel rods loosely hanging above her and quite ready to fall.
I was afraid. Afraid of losing her. Afraid of being left alone. I shouted for her to move but the girl ended up stopping in her tracks. One of my guards pulled her away during the split second that the rod waited to fall.
When I reached Abeera, she looked astonished. And so, I hugged her, real tight, to me.
“What the hell were you thinking? I was shouting for you to move but you being you, you will never listen to me, will you?” I yelled, still holding her tight to me. Then, I felt her sobbing and her arms came around me with her head placed on my chest.
“S-sorry…” She whimpered into my shirt.
“Shh… baby, don’t cry.” I soothed her as the thought of her being hurt made my blood run cold. I knew that I’d fallen for her hard, but didn’t want to admit. This incident made me realize how much I loved her and needed her.
I quickly took her home and decided to talk to her bodyguards.
“What the f**k were you all doing there? What the hell do I pay you for? For enjoying your f*****g life or to keep her safe?” I yelled at the bodyguards.
“S-Sir” One such bodyguard tried to say, but I cut him off.
“Shut up! I don’t want to hear any of your f*****g excuses.”
I saw Abeera walking out of our room and gruffly told the bodyguards to leave. I sat on the sofa and ran my fingers through my hair.
ABEERA’S POV:
When I walked outside the room, he sent the bodyguards out. I was still scared of his anger, but I still decided to go near him after seeing how much he cared about me. I sat on the sofa.
“You know, it wasn’t their fault.” I spoke softly.
“I don’t care whose fault it is. It was their duty to keep you safe for me.” He told me while turning towards me. I placed my hand over his in an attempt to relax him. He pressed a deep kiss over my knuckles which made me blush deep red. He smiled after seeing me blush which resulted in making be blush even more and making a silly excuse to leave the room.
