Chapter 8
After an early dinner in the cafeteria, Kegan strolled through the science offices and found a heavyset secretary behind a cluttered desk.
“Uh, hi, I’m here to see Dr. Cuss for my mid-semester check-in.”
“He’s finishing up with another student, then I’m sure he’ll be with you.”
“Thanks.”
Kegan took a seat off to the side of the hallway, where he looked down a corridor leading to several of the professors’ offices. He was eager to get his meeting with the doctor over with so he could meet up with Randall. The two had spent time together nearly every day for the last few weeks, and Kegan was worried he had fallen into the Friend Zone.
