Bobby and I were on our way back to our boring lives, but my palms were already itching as soon as the plane landed. I wanted to get everything done and go back to start my new ‘job’ as soon as possible.
That was an irrefutable offer right there, so, of course, I was no fool to refuse it either. To exchange a boring summer in a hot garage, earning sh*t money, to playing with fancy chicks in fancy hotels. It was not a f*cking question, people. Plus, I got the chance to watch over Harper from afar, and to be closer to her even if she couldn’t know about it for the time being. I just hoped she wouldn't be too pissed when she found out because I didn't tell her.
