I couldn’t believe what I was about to do. He challenged me by inviting me over, and I couldn’t decline because that would mean that I was afraid. In other words, I really heard them yesterday evening and I couldn't admit that. If I refused to go, that would have been too obvious.
To be honest, I was really a bit afraid. What if he was just putting on a mask in front of my grandparents to lure me out? I mean, I was sure that’s what he was doing, but what if he turned aggressive as soon as I got there? What if they shot me as well?
