Evangeline was picked up and rushed towards the pack hospital. Damon had felt the pain of hers. He was going out of his mind waiting for her. He rushed there only to be stop by Emmett. He tried to get to her but he couldn't.

"Please Emmett let me see her." Damon pleaded to see his mate. Sympathy washed over Emmett's face. Something that never happened before. He knew what having a mate was like. His own had died a year ago in child birth but his pup didn't make it either. It killed him and he knew the grief of it.

"They are seeing to her. We can't distract them." Emmett explained to Damon. Just that minute alpha Noah rushed in to see his daughter.

"Emmett where's Evie??" Alpha Noah asked Emmett frantically.

"She's in surgery." Emmett told his father. His father paced clearly alarmed.

"Who are you?" Alpha Noah asked Damon who sat with his head in his hands.

"Damon. Evangeline's mate." Damon introduced himself to his mates father.

"When did she get a mate??" Alpha Noah asked with wide eyes.

"Three days ago dad. He's one of the new warriors." Emmett explained.

"Ohh. If you hurt her I'll torture you for the rest of your life." Alpha Noah really didn't feel like threatening Damon. Not when his beloved daughter was only in the next room fighting to survive something that shouldn't of happened. Not when they might lose her and He wouldn't be able to survive that. He wouldn't survive losing either of his children.

They sat and waited for something, anything to happen. The finally nurses and doctors walked out of her room. The doctors still had their gloves and equipment on and were covered in blood. That immediately sent a wave of fear to the three men waiting. Did she make it? Was she okay? Questions ran through their minds.

A doctor came and stood in front of them. He removed his mask and smiled.

"She'll be just fine. She just needs time to heal. The blade had silver and wolfsbane so it'll take longer." He told them. They sighed in relief.

"You can go in and see her." He told them. They rushed in to see Evangeline. It simply broke their heart to see her their in that condition.

"She should leave early to the castle." Alpha Noah told Emmett. Emmett nodded and kissed Evangeline's head and walked out. Alpha Noah did the same but turned towards Damon.

"Stay here and watch over her. I need to kill the man who did it." Alpha Noah's eyes turned as black as night.

Damon nodded and stroked Evangeline's head in adoration, loving, with admiration for his beloved mate. He watched her. Promising he would always be there.

Yet he had no idea what was to come. No one did.
