It has been a week since we landed at Demondtree. Harold has kept me busy with work in the kitchen and cleaning after guests leave. I have also enrolled Katie in the local school. We had to have a long conversation about not talking about wolves, but I think she is ready.
I feel comfortable here. Harold had only two other staff working with him. Arnold the cook and Jenny, who was a waitress. They welcomed the additional help. I have taken over all the baking and running of food. Jenny takes orders and runs food when she is slow. Arnold is a wonderful chef and Katie even helps in the evenings.
Harold himself had done all the upkeep in the hotel after their last employee had left. I understand that although we are on the edge of the big city, this hotel is frequented by wolves. I know th
