Hyko's POV
From the distance, I can already see my mom looking in my direction. When our eyes meet, she innocently avoids her gaze by reaching for the glass of water in front of her.
I enter the dining area where I left them.
“I did not bring her here to be disrespected,” I say in a controlled tone.
My father adjusts in his seat. In my peripheral vision, I see him watch me with his arms crossed over his chest. His eyes narrow a little, waiting for me to make a disrespectful move to my mom.
“I just want to clarify things,” mom answers in a defensive tone.

She sighs. “Hyko, you are the only Frantz left. We are expecting you to build a family you love!”
